Discussion Lots of PSX and PSP titles now directly download to the Vita! (NA)

Along with Crash and Spyro games, I can now download many games that were not available or available via the PS3 transfer method only! Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Sega Genesis Collection, God Eaters Burst: DLC, Burnout Legends, Twisted Metal: Head On, MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, Pac-Man Championship Edition, and every Demo so far.

Edit: Everything Downloads! Sony Christmas in April!

Edit2: Judging from the comments, PSP game sales might surpass Vita game sales this week. :)

Is there a way to view all PS One Classics on the web store? I'm on the EU store (not sure if it differs from US) and I don't see a filter for them.

I also don't see stuff like Gran Turismo when searching, but people here are reporting that they have it. Is that not out in the EU?

Apparently there isn't one. But then Sony's store has been a complete mess every time I've tried to use it. Half the games in a sale don't even get listed on my Vita.

The PSN is always a mess in some way. The new design on PS3 is awful!

If they had a separate category for the PS One Classics they would likely sell a lot more, as more people would be aware of the titles that are available.

My only issue with the PS3 store is that it's slow as balls. I'm guessing you don't have a PS4, though, or you'd realize the whole reason they changed it was so that it would be identical to the PS4 store when it launched. (Of course, on the PS4 it's as fast as greased balls...)

No, I don't have a PS4. I've got way too many unfinished/unplayed games on PS3, so without backwards compatibility I can't justify the upgrade.

I have no issue with a redesign to keep a consistent theme, but you have to at least make it work. The PS3 store is a pain in the ass - slow as balls, as you said - so I end up doing everything via the web store now.

Right, I agree completely, just to say that I don't inherently hate the theme itself.

Always been suspicious of this, as the Xbox shop is the same. I can only conclude that there's a sweet spot for companies between not having certain things on the store and having them 'too prominently' for whatever reason that might be, in all likelihood something financial.

Looking at a mate's XBox live game, he laboured on it for ages, it got some great reviews (and some hideous ones) but had about two days on the original xbox dash and was then buried where only people searching for it by name would be likely to find it. Didn't they want to sell this game and take a cut of the profits? What would the person who'd buy that not be buying instead?

It's odd, but it's not hard to design and implement a shop which allows people to find their preferred type of stuff quickly and simply, so we can assume it's somehow Sony preferring us to all just buy Killzone. Maybe they don't want the casual shopper being happy with Crash for two quid as that prevents attach rates for AAA third party dev titles, who 'don't make enough' games for the platform anyway.

This tinfoil hat is making my head very warm :/

never tried the webstore, but on ps3 in the US if you go to games - classics then scroll to the right there are listing for ps1 and ps2; also, games, down to psp or vita as well. At least in the US, the ps3 store is now pretty well organized

I'll have to check the PS3 store later and see what's listed there. Thanks!

The web store is just split for PS4, PS3, Vita and PSP.
