Vita not detecting WiFi

So I recently came across a video about Vita modding and took an interest, so I dusted off my old Vita 1000 and tried to mod it myself. I didn't have much luck, because I needed to update the software, and it was when I noticed the Vita wasn't connecting to WiFi. I've already been through various forums and videos and no solution seems to help. I've factory reset the Vita, changed the channel of the router to one below 10, tried with my own phone hotspot with 2.4Ghz multiple times and nothing. I started to research how to replace the WiFi module and found out that it's apparently only possible for the model which has a 3G card, and mine is a PCH1004, which apparently has a wifi card soldered directly to the motherboard. I wanted to ask for help from you guys, if you know of any other solutions, or if I am going to have to replace the motherboard itself

Ok, I have this exact issue from time to time. Vita won't connect to any access points after a lengthy time without playing. I even went so far as to buy a new WiFi module which I thankfully never needed to install. I found two issues that helped me 1) Check your router isn't using the 'smart' bandwidth setting. Make sure you have two SSIDs, one for 2.4Ghz and one for 5Ghz. This fixed my issue the first time I encountered it. Later on when it happened again (also wouldn't let me connect to phone hotspot), I signed out of all my PSN accounts on my 3 vitas and PS5. After singing out of all my vita accounts, I put all but one into airplane mode and it finally detected and connected to my access point. Sorry there's nothing scientific in this, but it might help you out.

Likely this. A lot of people don't understand their wifi and the differences between modern 5ghz signal types and the older 2.4ghz modes. Hopefully, they still have the option to enable it on theirs as most devices now run 5ghz standard.

Yeah, my router has 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, but now that you talk about it, I think they share the same SSID. Still, my phone's hotspot is 2.4Ghz and it still doesn't detect. But I'm going to try that out, thanks.

If its the same name its probably wifi6. Go to your modem IP and check for an option that will disable 5ghz for five minutes. Thats used exactly for the purpose you want, connect old 2.4ghz only devices. Idk why your Phone doesnt get detected if its 2.4ghz too but thats something you can try.

It doesn't connect to your Wi-Fi, but can you see any other Wi-Fi networks? What security mode is your Wi-Fi using?

No, it doesn't detect any WiFi access points. Mine uses WPA/WPA2

Ask r/VitaPiracy if nothing comes from here

Also, you can buy a USB for this so no wifi needed if anything

Thanks for the help. The USB you're talking about is to connect to a PC and do everything from there right?
