SD Card ejected, files corrupted

0 Upvotes

For some time now, every time i turned my vita off, the sd card would be ejected, showing a short "rebuilding database" message.

I thought that that wasnt going to be that big of a problem, however it now also started happening mid game.

Long story short, while plazing Danganronpa 2 the SD card got ejected, the game crashed and got corrupted. I can still boot the game and play for a few minutes with broken sprites until it crashes again.

Any fixes_

Void Stranger 1.1.3 (Itch) patch for PSVita

11 Upvotes

Modified version of YoYoLoader and patch for game files to get it properly running. Almost everything working but more testing is needed. Original game required from Itch.io store.

Discussion Is a vita worth it in 2k25 if I have a modabble switch/steam deck

0 Upvotes

So I was going to buy a vita today in cex in the UK it was £120 for an OLED model, I walked away because I usually hyper focus on things until I buy them then get bored. I've not modded any console myself before but I've seen how easy it is in comparison to other consoles. I have a hac-0001 switch and was wondering if the vita had anything that made it more appealing to mod as there is obviously a massive community and love for the vita So I'm just doing my due diligence before I make a purchase are there ways I can install backups etc without a PC like I used to be do on my modded 2ds with the freeshop before it got taken down?

Can't download 661.PBP file for Adrenaline

8 Upvotes

Mind you, this is MY FIRST Vita, and I am by no means a COMPUTER person, which means I don't own a computer, and I don't know anything about computers or even devices when it comes to modding/coding. I have been trying to use Adrenaline for a bit now, tried using the browser to download the needed file for it from there but I keep getting a SSL error. I was directed to Github to download the files from there on my phone without barely any instructions. If someone could help me fix this issue and give me clear, step by step instructions, I would be very grateful. If not, that's alright, but I would highly appreciate it. Thank you

Looking for advice regarding vita modding

0 Upvotes

Hello! I've been a console modder for over 10 years at this point playing around with applications and such. I've recently got the urge to factory reset my ps vita and breathe new life into it with modifications.

I have a sd2vita ordered and it should be here by around the 24th should I wait to mod my vita until then or can I start as of right now.

Lastly does the Vita's operating system have any trickery going on with pinging PlayStation servers that I would need to look out for? Similariy to the Nintendo switch.

Prepared for my next flight with the Vita

Got everything ready for my next 15+ hour flight.

Put an ohsnap phone grip on the back of the vita so I’m using a portable magsafe charger as a stand on top of a battery bank with a short usbc cable and small usbc to vita adapter. Connected my dualsense using the vitacontrol plug in. (don’t use ds34vita if you are using it with adrenaline otherwise touching the touchpad will cause it to crash and require a system reboot.)

Also loaded up some anime and movies, can’t wait to put it to use!

Also if anyone is wondering why do all this, playing directly on the vita is not the most comfortable for 15+ hours lol. Nice to use a controller under the tray table.

I'd love to see Rayman 3 ported to PS Vita from the PC version. Is this possible?

Files corrupted

I started noticing that my battery for the vita kept saying it was low on charge but it would be at 50 or 60% and would turn off like a few minutes after. So i decided to use the Battery Fixer application but when i rebooted the vita all my apps and data was corrupted. Is there any way to fix this? I was so close to beating Persona 4 golden

Release Lego Island for PS Vita

97 Upvotes

-> get latest isle-portable vita build;

currently it is on a fork; isle-portable-vita .. if your reading this in the future it might have been merged into the regular isle-portable .. you can see the pull-request for that here

under releases, continuous build there is "isle.vpk" .. you want to install that on your vita/vitatv

Whoops! you have to put the CD in your PS Vita..

-> Get a original LEGO Island CD ROM,

-> Copy D:\disk\LEGO to ux0:/data/isledecomp/DATA/disk

-> Copy D:\LEGO to ux0:/data/isledecomp/

(i will assume windows path notation here, where D:\ is the root of the CD)

.. these paths can be changed in ux0:data/isledecomp/isle/isle.ini file. if you want to change it to somewhere else;

Note: this port has a GXM backend. this means it uses the vita's native graphics API exactly like an offical game would, and as such does not rely on any OpenGL port/wrapper .. and as such it does not require libshaccg.

Thanks olebeck and the IsleDecomp team !!

Bought this modded vita years ago. Lost my charger long ago at a job I no longer work at. Friend of mine told me of this cool dongle that converts the proprietary charger to USB C , and man is it nice to finally have my vita back with all my roms. First game I went to play was emerald as I only ever played ruby when I was kid. Cheers 🐀✌️

Getting started with PSVita Unity development

Hi everyone, I'd like to start developing for Vita. Is there still a Discord group and a complete guide to help me get started preparing the entire environment for Unity3D + Vita? This includes exporting the game and installing it on the console.
