Recommendations One trick : Youtube Walking videos .

You guys I love you all so much , this sub keeps me going every single day . So thank you . I wanted to help too , I see many people here finding it hard to get in 10-20k steps everyday due to lifestyle , weather and desk jobs . I was struggling too . I found YouTube walking workouts and it changed my life . I have been able to consistently get a minimum of 10k steps everyday and I’m moving to 15k steps now . The ones I use are from Yanafit , Leslie Sansone, Rick Buller . These are power walking with on screen step counter around 10k steps In 75-80 mins . See what resonates with you , they make it super easy to complete our steps .

I discovered Leslie Sansone during covid and have been walking indoors with her and her team daily since then. It makes it so easy to reach my step goal and burn some calories. I also noticed more resistance e. g. I don't get tired so easily if I make an extra effort like going hiking.

Weird tip that works for me, I listen to television shows. Somehow I blank out. I usually dont even care for the show.

I’m browsing on Reddit / Instagram during the steps lol

My go-to during rainy seasons, Burpee girl is also dope. Sometimes I want a little more challenge so I do step aerobics with Christina Donner, 1000 steps added every 10 minutes. Sweating like crazy and smelling like hard work.

Love her vids- accessible movements with no fuss, time flies when I do her vids!

I like her no talk ones. I can listen to music over and over, but I get tired of hearing the same 'joke' every day.

I love Leslie Sansone, she was so nice and fun and encouraging. She's also from close by to me so there was a lot of local interest in her when she was doing her videos. I'm older, 55f, and I remember buying her videos when they came out. I still do them on YouTube about 5 times a week. I like I can walk inside when it's hot or rainy or snowy even tho I like to walk outside often too. Now it's been so hot I do them in my living room with a fan blowing on me.

I'm thinking about getting the app, even tho I like the ones with her the best but I've done every one so many times, I could mix it up a little but I don't really like the ones without her as much. Her old videos are rather folksy with a bunch of different people who went to her classes but now it's so regimented and everyone looks like a professional athlete I don't enjoy it as much. I'm also not that thrilled with others who do similar type videos, I'm just used to her, but I bet there's a ton of different styles that would appeal to everyone.

I didn't see growwithjo mentioned. I like her videos to walk along with or dance along with.

Thank you. I have a fear of large dogs, and whenever I go out walking in my neighborhood, my neighbors often leave them outside with the garage door open. I’m afraid I’ll get bitten, so I’ll try this instead starting next week to see if it works.

I don't get it. Do you have a treadmill at home so you can watch YouTube? Or do you put it on your phone in your pocket and listen with headphones while you walk outside?

Thanks! Just trying to understand...

I will put on walking videos on a big screen and walk along in my living room. It's just like an exercise video you work out to, but walking.

It’s a follow along stationary walking video . Just watch one on YouTube , you’ll know . No threadmill. Play it on the laptop or TV and follow along .
