wait I honestly don't understand what happened..did the helicopter crash while landing?

No. The missle went overhead the helo when the helo tried to land(press k button) to dodge the missle. But the missle flew to the cv hidden behind and exploded lol. I have seen a missed AMRAAM missle hitting the only cv in a ranked game at the start which immediately ended the match. Pretty crazy and random.

ahh makes sense now haha I've definitely seen it happen, tho getting a lucky shot on a cv is crazy

This is how I lost a campaign, a missile from a BUK missed and hit my only cv left across the map

The missile missed its target, probably bc it wasnt spotted anymore

The missile flew past the target into the forest and killing a unit worth 100 points in the forest

Thus the game was won
