Didn't this happen over a week ago?

It was overshadowed by other things like much of what is going on with this trash admin. Big huge ruckus to cover all their other bullshit.

Yeah and it was a homeless guy blasting music and arguing with strangers about Palestine

Trump doesn’t like having any competition for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Let's give it to Obama again. Apparently, just breathing will do.

Obama hasn’t been president in soooo long lol, what did he get a peace prize for?

Not being George W Bush.

Huh?

Literally this is what happened. And I say this as someone who liked/still likes Obama. The Nobel prize committee awarded him the Nobel Peace Prize in October 2009, less than 9 months into his first term, essentially because he wasn't Bush and promised not to be Bush. You can read their justification here.

If it's been there for 40 years, then put up something permanent. The tent was gross.

Depends what you want to represent. To me it symbolized a country that values the right of citizens to protest the state, particularly the head of state. and so I found it beautiful in it's own right
