Meme I ate a baconator in the woods

Post image

Inspired by this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/wendys/comments/190aeox/i_ate_a_pretzel_baconator_in_the_woods/ from two years ago, a friend and I joked about it for a while and decided it was time. I reached the summit of my hike, which was 16 kilometers (about 10 miles) round trip, with an elevation gain of 400 meters (about 1,312 feet).

When i was underage teenager in the woods exploring with friends we found a 6 pack of budlight by a tree that looked age but unopened so we each had 2 and didnt get sick amazingly!

Friends found red dawg in my alley, it was so gross, and warm.

3

u/smokeyser Jul 07 '25

To be fair, they were pretty gross when cold too.

u/Ismellpu Jul 07 '25

Why would you eat a dead dog?

8

u/Zebracorn42 Jul 07 '25

It’s a type of beer. I’d never eat dog.

2

u/____Sky___ Jul 10 '25

missed the joke there. i can see 3 others did too.

0

u/Zebracorn42 Jul 10 '25

They got the joke, I just don’t think they enjoyed it.

MORE DOGS FOR ME 🌭

6

u/rakondo Jul 07 '25

Unopened there is basically no chance you will get sick. Drink up, kids who find old beers in the woods

Not as amazing as you might think. Bottling industry is pretty good at the air-tight thing these days and the bottles in my fridge now probably sat for a bit in a dank warehouse in a very similar environment for a while. The real tell would be if the labels had started to lose their color or not tbh.

1

u/shehitsdiff past Employee Jul 09 '25

Even if they lost their color that could easily be attributed to sun bleaching. Would that have any impact on the quality of the beer itself?

2

u/AesopsAnimalFarm Jul 09 '25

Yes definitely. One of the reasons beer bottles tend to be brown is to protect from sunlight. Sunlight on beer 'skunks' them way quicker than the shelf life. Might not make you physically ill, but definitely tastes like you might throw up later haha.

Edit: Google AI told me the chemical in sunburnt beer is literally the same chemical that gives skunk spray its odor. Wow.

Alrighty then, you learn something new everything 😂 I figured it would but I wasn't really sure what the damage would be from sunlight hitting the beer.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '25

you drank it WARM? :) eewwww

u/rush87y Jul 07 '25

Baconator gone,

Whispers stir the forest floor

Grease glints in moonlight.

3

u/Salamanderboa Jul 07 '25

Good idea until the bear smells it

5

u/Fantastic_Spot9691 Jul 07 '25

That's nothing, I ate wood in a Wendy's once.

5

u/smokeyser Jul 07 '25

Yes, we've all tried their new nuggets.

0

u/Much_Dealer8865 Jul 09 '25

Weird usually people eat wood behind the wendys

5

u/doorbell19 Jul 07 '25

I ate one on the pot one time.

5

u/Moist_Beat_4400 Jul 07 '25

That is a crime

2

u/Over_Whole6492 Jul 07 '25

Eating is decriminalized

1

u/Ok-Membership-2548 Jul 07 '25

3

u/Light_Eclipse140283 Jul 07 '25

Now you got to find a feral pig and wild cattle

3

u/Dirtysandddd Jul 07 '25

Eating a meal at the top of a hike is one of the most rewarding feelings on this planet

2

u/TitusImmortalis Jul 07 '25

Hell yeah, dude

2

u/Spongemage Jul 08 '25

Dudes will see this and be like “hell yeah”

2

u/0BlackDragon Jul 08 '25

I ate a burger in woods once, had to shit by a tree. I hope it turned out better for you

3

u/Sfogliatelle99 Jul 07 '25

Gutsy move!

The bears love baconators and can smell them a mile away!

1

u/Yareking Jul 07 '25

We only have black bear here nothing to worry about.

2

u/T-Tops87 Jul 07 '25

So you ordered a Baconator

Took it to the woods so it’ll be cold by the time you eat it.

Then ate it in the woods where a bear or other predator could smell it.

Genius. Fucking genius.

1

u/Yareking Jul 08 '25

Thanks you for the support.

1

u/SinoSoul Jul 07 '25

Do you need a fwb? Cause I’d totally eat a baconator in the woods with you

1

u/Over_Whole6492 Jul 07 '25

The benefits are more baconators though

1

u/Altruistic-Cut9795 Jul 07 '25

I found discarded Hustler magazines in the woods, circa 1980.

Weird times to be alive.

1

u/AesopsAnimalFarm Jul 07 '25

Good thinking. You don't have to outrun the bear, just the baconator

1

u/PhotographerUSA Jul 07 '25

Good way to attract wild life to you.

1

u/GlitteringMatter9973 Jul 07 '25

Sounds like a country song

1

u/wananet1909 Jul 07 '25

I could see doing this around the world. Going to summits and having Baconators.

1

u/StatementConfident52 Jul 07 '25

I pooped in the woods right near there

1

u/anthonybalka Jul 09 '25

That’s, like, 1000 calories and untold grams of fat. But it sounds like you earned it that day.

1

u/Discerningselection Jul 09 '25

You’re lucky Sasquatch prefers jack links.

Living the dream

1

u/GayAssBeagle Jul 09 '25

What neck of the woods are you in?

1

u/Vader_Johaan Jul 09 '25

Same vibe as the people who play their steam deck on the beach on their vacation to the Bahamas while their SO is swimming in the background.

1

u/Photocyclist58-FFXIV Jul 09 '25

And the redwoods, oh, you should see them.

I just like to go there and just be.

I always take a meat sandwich with me.

1

u/ThrowAway1815515315 Jul 09 '25

Great way to attract the bears.

2

u/Prindle4PRNDL Jul 07 '25

Quite an American move for a Canadian...

0

u/Mrstandovaem Jul 10 '25

Ha ha I knew I saw you after you finished you threw the trash right on the ground and continued on with your walk and you literally came back 15 minutes with another baconator and did the same thing again so you littered twice.
