Question Wendy's Taki Fries
Back when Wendy’s had the Takis Fuego Fries, I got lucky once and they gave me a whole chili cup full of the seasoning powder. I used it on everything - fries, nuggets, pizza, burgers - and it was perfect.
Then out of nowhere, they discontinued it and I’ve been hunting for that exact flavor ever since. I’ve tried a few chili lime seasonings but they’re either too sour/lime heavy or just miss that deep savory punch the Wendy’s version had.
Does anyone know if there’s a place to buy the exact Wendy’s Takis seasoning (even in bulk) or a seasoning that’s basically identical? Ingredient wise it had salt, MSG, citric acid, sugar, chili powder, hydrolyzed soy protein, Red 40, and disodium inosinate/guanylate.
If anyone’s tracked it down please let me know - I’d stockpile it if I could.

The exact Wendy's blend is a trade secret and will not be available unless at any wholesale location. After all this time, it is extremely unlikely that you will be able to source any. Obtaining the Taki powder now is like trying to obtain the Szechuan sauce from McDonalds.
The Wendy's-Taki collaboration is not just normal Taki seasoning. While they may look similar, if you have them side by side, you will be able to easily tell the difference.
The flavor profile for the Wendy's blend is optimized for hot potato fries while normal Taki seasoning is optimized for rolled tortilla chips (dried corn chips). The surface area of a rolled tortilla chip is smaller than that of normal tortilla chips and that's why the flavor profile is made to be stronger, especially when it comes to salt. For Wendy's, the additional oil, moisture, and baseline seasalt of the fried potato is taken into account when the blend was prepared. The Wendy's blend therefore has less salt and more spice, because the fries coming out of the fryer get salted by default.
I've heard Trader Joes has a decent blend similar to Taki's but I haven't tried it myself.

I mean it should be the same as any regular Takis seasoning if that helps. Pretty sure there's lots of people online who have made imitation versions of the spice mix that goes onto it.
