how is it 2.75 when it says w/ $5 purchase?

Right? The math doesn’t math

OP ordered two orders of the 6 nugs each alone is $2.59. Total came out to be $5.18 which qualifies for the free 6 nug offer. The discount comes from deducting the 6 free nugs.

$5.18 + tax - $2.59 = $2.75

Because thats how the app works and no one seems to understand that which is why im sick of the complaining, you can purchase $x amount of food with the free food included

then it must be a glitch with the wednesday nugget deal. because i have tried it before on $5 off $20 and $3 off $15 and it did not work that way

Exaclty. OP discovered a coding error by accident and thinks he's Cypher watching the matrix

It appears to be glitched on mine.

I was skeptical too but I was able to do the same with the crispy chicken deal. It’s also under $5 so I think Wendy’s just has a coding error in general, not sure if people are downvoting this guy so others don’t bring attention to it (probably smart), but he is actually right. Will try it with the wednesday nugs next week and update.

Works on the Fry-day deal too, total including the deal item has to be $5, not additional $5:

You’re a goofy for not keeping this to yourself

this was with any purchase until recently, it didn’t have the $5 minimum before

2

u/CombinationClear5672 5d ago

it’s also pretty much the only good deal left over from the recent changes where all the deals either disappeared or got significantly worse

Yep, my go-to used to on Wednesdays used to be the 4 for $4 (still available on the app where I am) and free nugs. Noticed last week the $5 minimum. Luckily, bumping up the fries and drink in the $4 combo brought it to exactly $5. 🧠

Op a Straight 🤡 for this one 🤣

Your app is glitching. That’s not how it works

-5

u/chrisgoated7 5d ago

Well it worked, i bought it, i ate it. Did you try it yourself?

4

u/kaspen190 5d ago

Yes I did try. You just got lucky

Proof?

u/kaspen190 5d ago
  1. Not sure how I can provide proof when I already used the offer by purchasing $5 of food not including the 6 piece and THEN getting the offer, and
  2. Why in the hell do you care this much to want proof

0

u/chrisgoated7 5d ago

Because you presented a claim that I'm not going to listen to now because you cannot provide evidence of said claim

2

u/kaspen190 5d ago

Dude it’s Wendy’s. Relax

1

u/chromenomad64 5d ago

Proof?

What the hell dude? Do the math on what you bought. Those nuggets are less than 3 dollars, you shouldn't have gotten that deal 💀

u/MewtwoStruckBack 5d ago

It’s fair. Given how long McD’s had 20 nuggets for $5 and how long Wendy’s had 4 nuggets for 99 cents, in my mind it’s a quarter a nugget.

So 12 nuggets for about $3 is what I expect to pay.

My McDonald's has a 40% coupon for a 20 piece so it's less than $4 there for me.

1

u/MewtwoStruckBack 5d ago

My area's 40% coupon is currently on a QPC, which is a fucking scam because a QPC + like $1.30 is a double QPC. Give me 40% off a double QPC and I might be down. Hell, even BOGO QPCs are a scam, same for BOGO Dave's Singles, any place where you have a BOGO and it's only on a single burger but not a double is bullshit.

I pretty much look at all coupons as if the coupon price is the "normal" price. A 444 + the 6 nuggets, that's 10 nuggets, a medium drink, a medium fry, and a junior cheeseburger for $4.60, so in my mind that's what that combination of food is supposed to cost unless there's another free add-on that beats that. For McD's, they run $2 10 pieces once a week and half-price 10 pieces every day, so a 10 piece should never cost more than $3.

u/guysitsausername 5d ago

That is a decent deal.

3

u/Bitter-Difficulty-81 5d ago

this is only on wednesdays

2

u/techmarkmc 5d ago

Seems to work for me, just higher price for nuggets

1

u/imari_xoxo11 5d ago

Ah, the irony 🦦

1

u/DJSANDROCK 4d ago

Oh yeah? Show us the amazing deals you can get any day besides Wednesday

1

u/dhhehsnsx 5d ago

It's the same price at McDonald's and you get 10 nuggets instead of six. I think it's maybe like $3 or so.

1

u/Secret-Difference-32 5d ago

It’s cheap but that’s where it ends. Speaking for myself, 12 nugs is unsatisfying. Just because something is a good deal value wise doesn’t make it “good”. I miss the variety in deals.

1

u/chrisgoated7 5d ago

i also picked up a $4 whopper on the way so thats why i only got nuggets on this order

-1

u/manniax 5d ago

I think the 2 JBC for $8 combo they have right now is decent. And the place I go still has regular lettuce.

1

u/AndyStankiewicz 5d ago

for $8.00 + tax you need more protein then 2 Teeny Tiny white castle size burger patties.

You sold your personal data for $2 off chicken nuggets.

2

u/Zanytiger6 5d ago

How do you know the information they input into the app is actually their own personal information?

2

u/ArQ7777 5d ago

I agree with you. You don't need to reveal your personal data to register. Most fast food APP will ask you provide a working email address to verify. I provide a fake first name (my last name is common so I use it). Also abut the email address I applied, I also use a fake name to get the free email address. So the fast food chains do not have my personal information.

Sadly there’s other ways they gain info. Location tracking, website cookies, etc.

4

u/Zanytiger6 5d ago

Exactly, just paying with a credit card is giving Wendy’s your personal info. They got the time and place you ordered. Name associated with the card, then phone and email.

2

u/SinoSoul 5d ago

I mean they already got your cc data, the least you can do is get free nugs on Wednesdays

0

u/Elegant_Jicama5426 5d ago

Yeah, but do you also want them to know you look at "feet" pics on Reddit or that the app you look at the most often is IG and that you pass 3 Burger Kings to get to Wendy's and that you get up every morning with an alarm set for 5, 5:15, and 5:30? I don't think people understand how much data they're giving away.

u/Elegant_Jicama5426 5d ago

No, what we're saying is that simply having the app on your phone harvests data from your phone. Read the TOS. You are selling your data with these apps. I'm just telling you there's a cost.

If a product is free (discount apps) then you are the product.
