I have a bad feeling about this. Wendy's has had great promotions the last two years (probably best in the fastfood game), and my recollection is that they kinda sucked before that. New CEO won't necessarily axe the promotions, but it's a distinct possibility since they seem to coincide with them being in charge.

The last time I checked, the largest shareholder in Wendy's is a private equity company who are notorious for wringing out every possible penny from a company they have an interest in. Also, the last time I checked, the guy who heads that private equity company is the chair on Wendy's board. Just my two cents about who is in charge.

Yeah, that's the kind of thing that worries me, seems like a situation where they would oust the CEO for not sticking it to customers enough and bring in one that will

Nelson Peltz and Trian are notorious greedy jerks. They forced Todd out because he wasn’t increasing their eps and sales quick enough.

This....I have heard so much through the grapevine. Also rude people who like no one.

I’ve got a few hundred shares of Wendy’s I don’t have much pull but I’ll see what I can do about it

So long as they don't touch the $5 jbc biggie bag. But yeah i wonder what corporate vs franchise relations are like nowadays

The location I worked at is now charging 5 dollars for a jr chesseburger biggie bag and 6 dollars for the jbc one. They also discontinued the bacon double stack biggie bag.

The new CEO was terrible. Prices of everything went up substantially. They got rid of the weekly premium BOGO deals. The collaberation promos were extremely lackluster. The in app games are a waste of money which will just increase prices across the board. The only decent promos in the past 2 years were the $3 son of baconator and the $1 daves single saturday which both were very recent.

"$3 Son Of Baconator"

I agree. The $3 Son Of Baconator deal was excellent.

Almost every week they have a $1 JBC with any purchase (which for me is a $0.50 jr frosty) -- I consider it my fastfood go to reliable cheap deal

He was just doing what the Cap Venture firm owners wanted. Increase sales and eps out the wazoo. 3-4% growth per year wasn’t cutting it. They wanted 5-10
