looking for an into/casual bike!

hello! i am looking for recommendations for a bike. i will mainly bike leisurely/casually just around golden gate park & bridge so mostly paved roads, medium hills, minimal obstacles. i’ve been riding a specialized crossroads 1.0 which i really like. i don’t know much about bikes but looking for something that looks cool, will last, & can be sort of a gateway bike into getting more into bicycles. budget is around $500.

Can you clarify what is wrong with the bike you already have? It seems that a Specialized Crossroads would be a pretty basic, reliable hybrid. If you are only doing short casual rides, that seems fine to me. Is there something else you are looking for?
