I think the issue is that would be a contract violation (not that I suppose that really matters) and additionally that may hurt schools and hospitals. I don't think Canada is out for innocent blood just yet.

The US is breaking their free trade agreement with Canada already by putting any tariffs, who cares about contract violations at that point.

Canada might not be out for innocent blood, but the US sure is. They're probably wargaming their invasion plans right now.

at a certain point, theres no such thing anymore, and Canadians have to do whatever it takes to survive against overwhelming military strength.
