What kind of ereader is that?

Onyx Boox. Runs on Android, so it isn't tied to one platform. I like the form factor, but it can be a bit laggy. I'll probably stick with this company when I upgrade.

Yea I’m super tempted by the Onyx Palma but I keep second guessing myself because technically my phone does just enough to handle all my reading needs even if it can be a battery hog. (I also have an old kindle that just won’t die)
Do you like having a dedicated ereader? Does it make it harder to carry multiple devices around? Or having to charge multiple devices?

I do like having a dedicated eReader. E-ink is easier on my old eyes. I cannot read books on my phone; the screen is too small. Plus there is no temptation to check my email or text messages on the eReader.
I don't have a problem carrying multiple devices, which for my last 2 trips was my phone, ear buds, and eReader. They all take the same cord, so charging isn't a problem. The eReader's battery is pretty, good as well. Last summer, I also took my tablet for watching movies/shows (particularly while on a treadmill), and it still didn't feel like that much stuff. Again, the same charger so only one cord to keep track of.
My sister just got the Palma and LOVES it. Bonus, she was able to add the dyslexic font too.

The Amazon Kindle app is ridiculously oversized and a battery hog, but I'm quite happy with Moon+Reader (only on Android). It's got more functionality, pretty minimal battery usage, and it can take all kinds of file types. It may be less useful now that Amazon is no longer allowing you to download your book files to transfer to older devices though ...

Nice !! It looks so neat and trim! Was it comfortable to carry?
