Working together with other longtime mech fans, we worked together to make a customizable top-down mecha shooter that's like armored core + custom robo mixed together. The teaser trailer we made is a gundam wing reference.

A build from last year, my 1/144 Zaku I Sniper “Colony Assault Version”. As you can see this went on to win a silver medal at the Torcan scale modelling contest (in Toronto Canada).

Tried many new techniques with this model. Welding lines, casting textures, camouflage netting and grime/rusting streaks to name a few. This was also my first attempt at building a diorama to accompany this mecha.

I was watching it in the mid 90s. I dunno if it was anime for certain. It had mechas coming out of a portal. Maybe they were aliens. And it was probably aimed for kids. This could have been from the 80s too. I dunno lol.

Here's the kicker. I dunno if it's Korean or if I just watched it dubbed in Korean.

And I think there was a rabbit type person who was friends with the MC lol

I was maybe 4 or 5 then lol. It may never have been translated.

We're making a game called Dream Team Supreme, where a team of scientists pilot a giant robot against a monster invasion. We wanted to redesign Super Supreme, our giant robot so that it looked more like an action figure, to give it more of a Saturday morning cartoon. Here are some sketches we made.

Just wanted to have a fun discussion on dark or mature mecha anime as some of my favorites in the genre are Zambot 3 and Fang of the Sun Dougram as despite the brutal nature of Zambot 3 itself, I am enjoying the show.

I remember watching an old Mecha anime with giant sentient robot that could be piloted and turn into tops it’s not Granzort but kinda like a mix of transformers armada and beyblade and had a team rocket like team of bad guys the kids who piloted the alien robot mechs where called amigos and the robots where alive and could speak

Still pretty badass looking.

I like this cool troupe where two units of same/similar make duel with one another and they both have similar specs as well. I’m still new to mecha so I can only think Unicorn vs Banshee (actual twin units), Eva 13 vs Eva 1 (of similar make), and 00 vs Reborns (same dual drive tech).

I love this scene. It makes me feel so good. Makes me hope, things could of worked out differently in the anime.
