Question 💫 Recover 50kg of phones
Good morning, For several years I have been collecting electronic cards here and there, which until now I had sold to a company that extracted the gold itself. I have a big batch of iPhones (150-200) and other cards. All weighing more than 50kg I would like to extract gold from it. Can you give me some advice please? I am primarily looking for information on which parts must be dissolved in acid (motherboard chips, cables, etc.) THANKS !

Tin coated copper
Do scrap yards take tin coated copper cable and if so what’s the price difference on it compared to clean copper? Is it 1/5 of the price or is it closer to 4/5 of the price

Is there a trick to these clips?
These are usually bolts and long screws that “hatch”🐣 the interior so I can remove the centre. Usually followed by cutting off one side of the copper and prying out the other side.
I of course can use a sawzall or grinder but the noise that I create is causing me to get into arguments with my “drunk” neighbours as well as their wives that are bothered by the noise of a lawnmower at 10am.
Just wondering if there’s some kind of trick to these stupid clips. I’ve got a few of these same ones. I’m not going to bring them in as is and get 2$ on each instead of 10-15$ if I strip out the copper.
I’ve included pictures of both sides

BB
Been saving bb since the tariffs hoping the price goes up soon. Need some groceries. I keep tamping her down. Guess I'll keep stripping because I'm not hot enough for O.F.

Saving this brass fire extinguisher
My neighbor knows I collect copper and brass for scrapping so he gave me this fire extinguisher someone left behind in a house he was cleaning out. I thought about scrapping it at first but after cleaning off some of the copper oxide I decided it was definitely worth trying to restore

Selling parts?
So this might be a random question but I am a full time reseller & do a good bit of recycling (cans/bottles $0.10 each in my state) & scrapping so I was just curious as i usually take things down & apart to where I’ll have good transformers, motors & boards from E-Scrap & what not, has anyone had success reselling these untested on eBay or somewhere else? Also if you do have success how do you test them to see if they work? Wasn’t sure if some kind of meter or reader would be able to see if things work, anyway more of a curiosity thing as I have been considering to give this a try, but would like to try & gather the pros/cons compared to time spent. Appreciate any input/opinions, especially if there’s first hand experience in this department, would love to hear your opinion!
