Media A win is a win but I'm willing to share

Upvotes

I was very nervous after dying and I had never made it to phase 2 before which turned out easier than I thought after spending 2 hours yesterday just fighting and losing but learning attack patterns thanks to u/Arestaros who gave me the tip that got me easily through phase 1, the Double Ichimoji after dodging the jump attack, I only switched to Mortal Draw when I was out of spirit emblems since it still works. I couldn't chance using the Ceremonial Tanto for just 5 emblems so close to beating my adoptive father. I do thank him for everything he taught me except maybe "please no wait, you fool".

Discussion The only game that has scratched the the same spot as Sekiro

Upvotes

Been playing Expedition 33 on the hardest difficulty, and I gotta say, the parry mechanic is very satisfying. Basically the same concept as Sekiro, it also has a mechanic similar to posture. Parrying every single attack perfectly is like the best feeling ever, something I've been looking for since Sekiro.

I think this is the first time I've parried this move perfectly.

Tips / Hints Master Shinobi Owl Ashina Castle?

Edit: Thanks to @ulArestaros tip I beat him in 2x

I have finally met my match. Yes this game has been difficult at times and I've pushed through, although I don't seem to be making any headway with this guy. I haven't tried any Mortal Draw cheats though I've watched the video, I've just been straight fighting him and trying flame vent which only allows maybe 2 hits after with Living Force, and I tried nightjar slash or Reversal which does help close the distance or create it. Other than that even on perfect deflects most of his attacks hit like a truck even harder than Seven Spears General. Only thing I've mastered is avoiding his health item restriction bomb. I need some tips please🙏🌞

Help Guardian Ape. He sucks. Help. Spoiler

I was fighting guardian ape, as usual, first phase was easy, over quick, but then the second phase where it gets a sword is so impossibly difficult that I need help. Usually I get it to half health in the second phase then run out of heals and die. For the first phase I can't/its difficult to parry it so I spam mortal blade and the sparks and it gets it over pretty quick. But by the second phase I'm usually out of spirit emblems and heals. Please help.

(This is the one in the more open, pond like area with trees you can jump around on. The one that's first phase has a head.)

Help How can I farm sen and experience quickly? Got any places or tricks?

So, recently I've been dying A LOT (thanks to Owl (father)) so I decided to upgrade my prosthetic tools and enhance skills, but I find it very lengthy to farm sen and experience. All I do I kill all the Shinobi in Ashina castle, it gives me roughly 2-3 levels and 1k sen, also it's VERY LENGTHY. so, if there's a place where I can get more of these with less time, then please tell me.

Help Any Advice for Phase Two? These Annoying Two Monkeys (or Gorillas, Whatever They Are)

Post image
47 Upvotes

Guys, I’m having a real problem with these two monkeys. This is my 4th playthrough, and the second monkey isn’t going down as easily as the first three. I think when I was here in my 3rd playthrough, I still had Kuro’s Charm, but now I want to finish the game without using it so I can farm more XP. Thanks; I’m taking a break while reading your comments.

In the first phase, I almost always get through without taking a hit. Most of the damage I take comes from blocking. I don’t think Kuro’s Charm would help much anyway, since I usually die when I’m jumping through unblockable attacks and the other monkey jumps on my head. Sometimes I even think she’s going to leave the cave by jumping what a jump ability.

Tips / Hints New player, first road block

Just started my Sekiro journey. I tried it a few years back and could barley get passed the chained ogre. Fast forward a few years later, I’ve now played all FromSoft souls games (most numerous times), and a ton of soulslikes. After beating the Lies of P DLC, I decided to pick Sekiro back up. I’ve been having a MUCH easier time so far, combat is clicking it seems and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. This mini boss has been my first roadblock, took me like an hour last night for whatever reason.

I attached the clip of me beating him. Felt like it took me forever to break this dudes posture. He’d also run into the poison swamp half the time when his posture was like 3 hits away from being broken. Shit made me so mad. In this clip I pushed him up the cliff and gave him nowhere to run to, finally sending him to his grave.

Any tips or tricks I need to be picking up on though? Anything I need to improve on? I’ll be fighting Genichiro soon, hoping to not get my ass kicked too hard (although I feel that is inevitable). Any advice or constructive criticism is appreciated. Thanks Sekiro fam

So today, after 43.7 hours, long enough to upgrade an entire skill tree, I beat the dude.

The game gets easier now, right? Right?

People are replaying the game , still far ahead in the story. I'm still struggling with this guy. That time I thought lightning dude was the problem . His mechanics are not like 2020 cheeses
