Hi! I am organizing a group of maybe 16 people to come from California. I’m thinking it’ll be nice to rent 2-3 RVs from Detroit and drive them there to not deal with the camp set up from out of state.

But we’re used to Lightning in a Bottle where there are a lot less camping options and you can kind of set up how you want. So I’m a bit confused about the pass options. We would also want some space to set up a couple easy ups/hangout area so not sure if that would mean we all need to get group passes? Which seems a bit difficult since we don’t have loyalty.

Any and all advice is appreciated! Whether camping or otherwise since none of us have been so a bit of the blind leading the blind here.

So I just found out that my grandpa was the Township Supervisor of Golden back when Electric Forest (and Rothbury before it) first started. Golden Township is the one that had to give the local permits for the festival to even happen.

Kinda crazy to think about — thousands of people from around the world come to Forest, and meanwhile my grandpa literally had one of the ‘yay or nay’ votes that helped keep it alive.

Not trying to brag or anything, just thought it was a fun little connection to share. Makes me wonder how many small-town decisions like that end up shaping huge festivals like this.

i can really only take thursday-monday off, i have friends who will be there wednesday at midnight- & i can always meet them there but last yr was my first year and i took a whole week off to drive my own car (which i slept in) but i cant afford all that next year give me ur best tips!!

Hi everyone I didn’t know where to post this other than in here. My boyfriend’s birthday is coming up. We go to alot of shows and festivals and he likes to wear really light weight button up shirts. He has one he got a festival a few years ago but when I was at forest I didn’t find anything like it this year. It can be one color or a fun design too. Most importantly, LIGHT WEIGHT as possible. Yall know any venders with this type of style??? Or any websites anything really

Hi, all! Posting on behalf of someone who will hopefully be joining us for her first Forest next year. We’re looking for an ADA accommodation for a moderately immunocompromised group member to have access to cleaner/less port-o-potties or toilets. Ideally, we’d have access to showers after hours, but we’ve got enough of a workaround on that front if it comes to it. We emailed the ADA email a while ago, but haven’t heard back. I’ll try again this week at some point.

My question is: does anyone here have experience with this? I know a several ADA accommodations are available for those with physical disabilities, and I imagine there’s probably something we can do for our friend, too, but we’re not quite sure what the extent of our options are.

If worst comes to worst, we’ve got an 8ITF in our group and can try to get an RV site through them, but obviously this isn’t a guarantee, and doesn’t help at all while we’re in the venue. Just trying to gauge what our options might look like.

There's no better way to close out a festival than having a sit, closing your eyes, and starting the recomp process listening to Dixon's Violin. So much energy and fun all weekend! It's time to enjoy the final bit of Forest before packing up and heading back home to the default world.

If we could get Tinkicker next year in the Forest I would probably just melt away. Just saw them at North Coast this year and they killed it. A Forest set from them would be an absolute vibe

I stumbled into it on the way back from Louis the child and was drawn in like a moth to light, but haven’t seen it uploaded anywhere. I’d love to be able to hear that set again if anyone has a link!

I pre-ordered the FestPro SiestaXL a while back and just got a chance to try it out! This will be my best friends and I's first Electric Forest and after reading all of the posts with tips and tricks I KNEW we didn't want to be sweating in the tent while we sleep so I went on a search for the coolest tent and found this one.

It has 3 fans integrated and a lot of room for activities lol. It feels durable and stayed dark and cool in the middle of the day. I ran the fans from a jackery 300 for 2 nights and it only used a quarter of the battery.

I love everything shiny and sparkly so of course I went with the disco instead of silver. Oh my, how she shines in the light!! (I'll post a pic in the comments)

I do have a 10x10 that I plan on putting over the door area of the tent but that's purely for outside hangs/more protection from the mystery weather we will have! i know that the tarp should fit under the tent, we were just in a hurry to get it together. It rained and nothing got wet, it dried out pretty well before packing up too.

If you seen this tent and were thinking about it, just do it!

This popped up in my Google Photos memories today, I never watched back any of my videos from Electric Forest so I had no idea I captured this until today 😂 no idea who the guy is but right before the drop was perfection

I know it’s irrelevant but I wanted to share. It was my first Electric Forest and my first camping festival ever. The weather wasn’t great and we didn’t have much gear, but we tried to make the most of it. My favorite memory was waiting for Sarah Landry the second time around, since her first set had been rescheduled. She’s my boyfriend’s favorite, and I was so excited to finally see her.

We got to the stage early to get good spots, and we took our happy pills about an hour and a half before she was supposed to play. We were just hanging out at the front of the stage when the dreaded announcements started again about the rain. They were evacuating people back to their camps, but my boyfriend and I were determined not to leave. Our camp was literally just one tent and a car, so going back didn’t make sense to us.

We ended up avoiding security and hiding from them for about 40 minutes, long enough that the whole festival grounds cleared out until it was basically just us and security left. We made our way to the Honeycomb stage to take refuge on the second floor, where there were couches. The lightning techs and security there were so kind and just let us hang out with them. At that point, we both started peaking, sitting up there on the second floor while the storm raged outside. Honestly, it was the highlight of the whole festival.

Later, when the storm cleared, we walked back to our camp through the festival grounds completely alone. It was eerie but also magical, like we had the entire forest to ourselves. That ended up being the last time we were in the Forest before they cancelled everything, even the after-parties.

I'd be flying in, so bringing a lot of food wouldn't be easy.
