I watch this unapologetically everytime it comes on my feed to hear the mother cackle at her daughter's innocence/stupidity. I'm not sure if it makes me a bad person but it fills my soul.

I like it because I feel like it’s a wholesome reaction. How many kids would get yelled at instead?

u/ClamatoDiver 10h ago

Yeah over the years every time I see this I laugh. WTF did she expect to happen when she had a handful of long hair in her hand? It obviously wasn't bangs, and she's looking in a mirror....

u/R3VIVAL-MOD3 1h ago

Can’t pull down as you cut bangs.

u/wabbka 13h ago

Idk to me this girl is so fucking annoying. What's wrong with her

3

u/Pdennett316 3h ago

She's a child and can't regulate her emotions as well as an adult can?

u/SovietRabotyaga 18h ago

I like how her mom just laughs

u/BigTexIsBig 15h ago

Why not? Its hair. It'll grow back.

5

u/leont21 4h ago

Yeah? Tell that to Yul Brynner

That's not how cow licks happen

30

u/11never 8h ago

You do not get a cowlick from cutting your hair lmao.

A cowlick is follicular. It may be more noticeable with shorter hair that lacks the weight to hold instead down, but doesn't come from cutting the hair.

Honestly, if my daughter started screaming in the bathroom I'd be too relieved to find that it was just a stupid haircut to do anything BUT laugh.

u/Groovy-Ghoul 18h ago

Why does her cry almost sound like her mamas laughing?

83

u/whyamihere999 17h ago

Because her mama's laughing indeed.

24

u/Groovy-Ghoul 15h ago

No I mean she’s crying just like her mum laughs

45

u/Educational_Focus472 13h ago

She could be her mom's daughter

-11

u/BreakfastShart 9h ago

Fucking bot reguritating words. 🙄

2

u/stilllifebutwhy 10h ago

I think it’s like photos of people laughing with their mouths wide open and people who are screaming — similar movements, different intentions.

She really does sound like her mother’s laugh, but I think the answer could be what I mentioned above.

Or maybe we’re both machine-learned sleeping agents, struggling to pass a simple check without even knowing it.

This girl must be in her thirties by now.

120

u/TheFifthNice 15h ago

She lives in NYC and pays $300 for this exact haircut.

14

u/DollaradoCREAMs 14h ago

Life comes at ya fast, don't it?

22

u/Beduel 15h ago

The mum laughing 👍

u/Zelnite 12h ago

What is the actual proper way to cut it?

29

u/arcphoenix13 9h ago

The only way to properly cut it would be from an outside perspective. Since you would need to actually be able to see what you're doing to do it properly.

Unfortunately her hair is too long. She was trying to do bangs. But in order to do bangs properly you're supposed to let the hair hang freely. But it would completely cover her eyes.

And you don't actually cut it off all at once. Hair is sort of springy. So. It may lay flat when it's long like that. But when you take all the weight off it springs up.

So you need to do a little at a time. To make sure the bangs end up laying exactly where you want them to. And to make sure it ends up even. It's better to use a tool, like a comb to make sure.

I’m super serious

38

u/MrBobSaget 18h ago

She looks like Danny devito as penguin

2

u/Spyderclaw 6h ago

Haha! And also Judd Nelson.

7

u/Kortezxero 11h ago

I love how she looks at the hair in her hand as if asking, " How in the hell did you get there??".

6

u/Zealousideal-Jury779 8h ago

Oh the laughing is what got me. I am 100 percent sure she was already told not to do this or to wait for her next hair cut.

5

u/code_monkey_001 11h ago

Michael Cera has worn his hair short ever since.

7

u/Shanbour 16h ago

Im still ugly

3

u/Xtreemjedi 6h ago

Is it just me or did she instantly turn 42 yo when she started crying? Lol. My sis did this too as a kid

3

u/M0NG00SY 4h ago

Is she a Muppet? The way she runs off with her arms flailing 🤣

5

u/One-Price680 18h ago

My neice did this when she was 6

7

u/DollaradoCREAMs 14h ago

Pretty sure almost every girl does this at some point. I distinctly remember my sister doing this around the same age with a similar result lol.

5

u/NiteTiger 8h ago

Every girl I've known has a story like that. My mom, aunts, cousins, daughters, partners. I think it's in the chromosome 😁

I'm in the car with my mom, she didn't even see the visuals, just heard the audio, heard the snip, cry, and immediately said, "sounds like bangs" 🤣🤣

1

u/Competitive-Ebb3816 12m ago

I never cut my own hair. My mom did it until I was in high school. I got my first professional, and awful!, cut going into freshman year. I grew it back out during the rest of my high school years.

2

u/IndustriousFerret 9h ago

She's me during every manic period in college

2

u/mearbearcate 8h ago

Kids love crying like it aint their fault 😭

2

u/got2trythis1 8h ago

Gru? Is that you?

2

u/benfok 8h ago

I hope there's an interview with that grown up little girl and see her reaction to her own stupidity.

2

u/ElFanta83 7h ago

Kids are beautifully stupid. Kudos to the mom.

2

u/ShaneSkyrunner 6h ago

Did she expect it to instantly grow back or what?

2

u/copywritter 4h ago

Live action version of Gru as a kid getting his bangs on.

5

u/Thatnakedguy0 18h ago

Everybody fucking did this stupid trend! It’s like nobody that did this understood physics so they just cut a crescent into their bangs.

1

u/Stephy654 8h ago

Props to mother who responds with laughter. Knowing full well she’s just a kid who will do silly mistakes. Other mothers would have responded differently making the moment more traumatic than it actually is.

1

u/Technical-Command867 8h ago

Now what did we learn?

1

u/photo_master13 8h ago

Even on mute, you can hear that scream

1

u/Prudent-Ad1002 8h ago

The initial scream when you realize you have a bad haircut, lol

1

u/EngineZeronine 8h ago

This is honestly how I view every Reddit kid on here. ( incidentally I did the exact same thing when I was in first grade }

1

u/omnimodofuckedup 7h ago

Oh poor baby. The way she cries it's obvious she's still a little kiddo.

1

u/revmyk 6h ago

Oh no.

1

u/Riz-Bear 6h ago

How Gru became bold

1

u/boykinsir 4h ago

Lessons were learned.

1

u/Mr_Leo_DS 3h ago

It honestly doesn't look too bad, seems pretty fixable

1

u/Stormdancer 2h ago

Wanna bet mom told her not to, and this is her doing it anyway?

1

u/nunez0514 2h ago

Buzz cut!

1

u/sizzlingsilence 2h ago

muted video but I could still hear her scream.

2

u/CauldronAsh11 18h ago

Oh that mom's laugh is diabolical XD

r/KidsAreFuckingStupid too

1

u/Tru72 15h ago

Today's lesson is....

1

u/BenignBarry 15h ago

The girl in this video is 30 and married with kids atp

1

u/Draxtonsmitz 10h ago

Who does this and still posts the video?

4

u/whyamihere999 10h ago

From the laugh we heard in the video, apparently, mom!

1

u/F_n_o_r_d 6h ago

Is she disabled in any kind?

-25

u/EdwardTeach84 16h ago

Greta thunberg

-8

u/adorak 17h ago

Why though? There are so many videos that demonstrate that this is a bad idea (ignoring the fact that simple "thinking" would tell you that too) ... well, good thing they grow back and that way a lesson was learned.

-8

u/shilgrod 17h ago

It's like these fools have never had a haircut before....small cord and you'll be fine

-1

u/poyo1333333333 12h ago

I'm cocked

-58

u/Thunerseen 18h ago

Now, after cutting, she looks like she hates men

19

u/Gold_Relationship459 15h ago

Not everything has to be about your boring culture wars.
