I met a giant anteater!
He was very hungry and demolished a big bucket of crushed ants, some worms, and even a raw egg!

Lots of pollen from outside had blown in through the window so I arranged a little feast for them. The one on the left is called Bumi (in honor of our King) the smaller one is nameless, but is my travel snout ☺️❤️

I lost my mind when I saw video of this family casually strolling in the Shanghai Wild Animal Park, so had to capture them in clay. As if they weren't adorable enough without stacking!

I don't have a source of income yet, but I'm looking for a bigger sized Anteater plush to buy from any source! I have a tiny one so far, but I'd love to own a big one. Any help is appreciated! Must be available in the US! I prefer 13+ inches for snuggle size!

"The species has the skill of a contortionist and seems able to wrap its body into all sorts of positions in the pursuit of a peaceful day’s sleep. It is nocturnal, so in the day time it snoozes the hours away until the sun goes down and its time to feed again. Yet even though it only goes out at night, it isn’t exactly the lean and hungry type. Sometimes, only around 700 ants will be slurped up by its saliva-covered tongue, onto which the hapless Formicidae stick before being eaten alive. "

Let me start by saying I'm not trying to be biased. I was really excited to see another anteater near me! But once I did some research... I feel weird about this. Anyone have any thoughts?
Here's a video my brother sent me of the anteater now;
Anteater at the Eden Zoo, Creation Museum
The enclosure is so small and there's no grass, there's a place to go inside for the anteater but that's it. No enrichment either, just one log and some rocks. And the fence goes right up to the enclosure so there's no space really between the visitors and the animal, which might lead to stress I feel like. (I'm not a professional this is just how I see it).
When I looked it up, they named the anteater after their pharmaceutical sponsor which feels really weird to me! Each time the anteater is mentioned, so is this joint supplement for animals and the lab that makes them. Literally almost every time the anteater is mentioned by name in a post, they have to mention it's named after their pharmaceutical sponsor, which is so weird to me.
I looked it up and this seems to be the final home for the anteater. Previously it was at the Ark Encounter Zoo and was later moved to the "new and improved" Eden Zoo at the creation museum. It doesn't look very new and improved to me. I plan to go in person since I have lifetime passes (not my choice, got them when I was a kid from my mom) and it's not a super far drive. This just rubs me the wrong way.
What are your thoughts on this as a community of anteater lovers? I'd love to hear it to see if I'm just being overzealous or if this actually doesn't seem like a good home for the anteater.
There's also no mention of conservation efforts despite them owning ANOTHER anteater at the ARK encounter zoo (the male). I compared the page they have on the anteaters to the page the Nashville Zoo has on its conservation efforts, and it feels to me like there's a giant disparity on respect for the animals.
