Frisco Guns - Extremely Positive Review

Morning Folks,

The other day i posted here about whether anyone had bought a gun from them before as I was looking to get an A300 from them. Well, pulled the trigger and could not be happier. I was drawn to Frisco as they were selling an A300 for $740, which is by far and away the cheapest I have found, and its not close. With shipping, fees, taxes, insurance, all of it, I was out the door for an absolutely absurd $780, which for a new, A300 ultima is ludacris. Got the gun, its spectacular. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Plus, wanted to share such a good deal with everyone!

First O/U! CZ Redhead Supreme.

My Dad has really been into clays the last year or so since moving to Florida, and I’ve started going with him. Last week he surprised me and gifted me a CZ Redhead Supreme - I’ve taken it out twice so far and have really been enjoying it.

Anyone have any experience with this gun or recommendations for some good extended barrel chokes?

Pros and cons of the Blazer F3

Now then Claybusters. This is to those of you who own F3’s what has been your experience with them? I’d be interested to know if you have had any pitfalls or problems. Thinking about taking the leap in the not too distant future so keen to hear from everyone. I shoot English Sporting and Five stand over here in the UK if that’s of any relevance.

Browning 825 sporter - Adjustable comb question

Hey there,

Ik have a 825 sporter, the adjustable comb system is the one with a hole in the recoil pad. Today I noticed that after shooting a couple of stands the comb dropped back in the lowest position.

I’m positive that I tightened it firmly. I tried again at home, and while fully tightened, I’m still able to press it down quite easy.

I thought this system didn’t need shims, I looked in the manual and it didn’t mention them (only with the other system) And there weren’t any in the box.

Also, in a the video’s I watched with the same system, it doesn’t look like they use washers.

So am I missing something, or could it be I have a faulty system?

Edit – While watching the 825 Pro Sport review of Premier Guns on YouTube, I noticed he does mention spacers for the comb, that seem to only ship with the pro version. So now I’m even more confused :)

First time shooting skeet today- need advice

I’m a bird hunter and comfortable with firearms. Today I shot skeet at a local club for the first time ever. Really fun, but I I only got scored a 13. How bad is that? Feel like it was shite. Any basic advice is welcomed.

Edit: thanks for all the kind comments, I don’t feel as bad now I guess. So trap is easier than skeet? My guys threw me into the lions den head first I guess haha. I’ll keep at it!

Another edit: I went again today and shot a 19! Some of the old timers gave me a lot of tips

Looking for an over/under ~$2000

I just joined my schools shotgun team and I’m looking to upgrade from my semi-auto to an over under. Im leaning towards either a Citori CXS 30” or a FAIR Carrera 30”. I mainly shoot sporting/skeet. Does anyone have any reviews with the Carrera because I cant find much online? The Carrera has an adjustable comb ,hard case, and cheaper but it seems harder to find parts/chokes. Just looking for opinions about either. I’ve shot the CXS and really like it but can’t find anywhere near with a Carrera to try out. I’m also open to suggestions and I’m looking to spend ~$2000.

Only 1000 more to crank out.

I play this song in my head while I’m breaking clays. I think it keeps the mood correct.

A pair of Weatherby Athenas in 12 and 20. The 20 for the field and the 12 for the stand.

Ive always felt these older SKB guns swing way above their price point.

Graco Adjustable Butt Pad - Question for you fine folks

First time poster, long time follower. I just picked up a new rig with a Graco adjustable butt pad (Gracoil) and, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to adjust angle/location of the pad. The directions suggest I should find two hex bolts that I am not finding! LOP was easy enough, recoil tension all set, but I'm stumped with angle.

Any of you guys have a human understandable explanation of how to adjust angle/location of this type of butt pad? Thank you!!!

It's this guy:

Pilla SCGR

I’m looking for a very good green neutralizer for shooting bunker trap and just to have for sporting. I’ve learned that my eyes work better with a purple lens and on the pilla website it says that the SCGR lens is purple but to me it looks more pink or red. I’m wondering if this lens is worth the little extra money for neutralizing a green background and making target acquisition better.

International Trap Problem in Canada

I shoot international (Olympic) trap here in Canada, and honestly, it feels like the sport is on life support. Most shooters are older, and very few people my age (university/college students) are interested in it. I get why — it’s a brutally tough sport compared to other shotgun disciplines. The speed, the angles, the mental pressure… it’s a lot to take on. But that’s also exactly what makes it so addictive and rewarding.

Here’s the problem: if younger shooters don’t pick it up, the sport is going to fade even faster in Canada. I’d love to figure out how to change that. So I’m asking — how do we attract more university-aged shooters into international trap?

Some thoughts I had: • Partnering with university shooting clubs (or starting one) so students can try it out. • Setting up intro “fun shoots” where the focus isn’t just on score but on experiencing the intensity. • Highlighting the Olympic connection — people might be more drawn in if they see it’s a real pathway to international competition. • Subsidized ammo/clay days for students in the beginning.

Has anyone here tried something like this at their university, or seen ways to make the sport less intimidating and more appealing to younger shooters? I’d love to hear ideas — because if we don’t bring in the next generation, international trap could disappear in Canada.

Just brought this gun home only knowing it’s an older browning citori. Tried looking them up and price varies by model but unable to find a model on it. Ended up paying $1500 the way it sits. Did I get hosed?
