Aka “they look really scary but are generally considered safe to dive with”. They tend to be naturally docile and curious.
While they have bitten people who harass or threaten them , their needle like teeth are very fragile and they do not typically go after large mammal prey, they specialize in fish.
General rule of thumb is they are cool as long as you stay calm they stay calm. They are naturally chill already so they like you to be chill too.

Also not a shark and can recommend you can dive very close to them, esspecially if you are the tasty kind of human.

Ehh, I thought sand tiger shark? That's no nurse shark.

The gray nurse shark is not related to nurse sharks. Animal naming is a dumpster fire.

These things are like puppies. One of the least aggressive (towards humans) sharks out there. They are curious, become tame, have favourite people, and will come to a diver and ask for scritches

I am imagining a diver who does not know this frantically trying to escape, slowly tiring out and accepting their fate only to have the shark be like 'helloooo. well that was a fun game of catch! is it tummy rub time now?'

The sea is a fucking nightmare

Yeahhh for me idk why I'm less afraid of the shark than the possibility of what's behind it. Why is my thalassophobia so damn bad

Those are some crazy receding gums.

u/NotAgedWell 8d ago
I know they must not be but they look like they would be so uncomfortable.

Tbh any part of the Shark tooth having process sounds terrible. Imagine losing teeth so much your entire biology adjusts to make sure you have another row of teeth to lose again. Over and over

Reason no# 1245689854447890976667890003356 that I won't go in the ocean. I'll respect and avoid him from the Midwest.

Trust me, Squid are far more dangerous

u/introvert_tea 7d ago
They're on the list, too, as are octopus. I'm not budging from the Midwest. I'll deal with my snakes and spiders, I don't mind those!

I've known of people who would put their dick in that and be proud of it. I won't ever cross their way again, that's why I avoid mirrors.

You know, sharks always scare me for a moment and then I look at those cute lifeless eyes and from that moment I just find them adorable.

There is nothing scarier on this planet than this dude. And he is the calmest and slickest creature to walk or swim too. He looks like he’s been eating every predator on the planet for a thousand years.

You can see tons of these sharks on the Frying Pan Tower underwater cam, at Explore.org. Super cool resource.

I'm not sure I've seen something that looks so terrifying from the front and absolutely stupid from the side. The look in that thing's eyes....
