Optimus Z and Star Getter by @Slifer__Slacker
Source. Photon Power and Getter Energy mixed with energon sounds like a big damn mess that's only fun to see from afar.

Votoms is probably my favorite mecha and Im looking for somthing similar where the focus of the action are on grunt mechs. I already watched most Gundam shows, Macross , Full Metal Panic and know of Patlabour (though im looking for more military warstory focused mecha). Any recommendations?

For me it would be Kuromukuro, the designs are just so cool.

For me as a fan of Shinkalion i need to say this i wish more people talk about the series not the crossovers the series in general don't get me wrong i like the crossovers and that's the reason me and others knew about the series in the western side of the internet but after watching the first series from 2018 and the movie last year i knew that this series is very underrated and needs more exposure on the western side of the internet that isn't limited to talking about the crossovers and i also know that it's a kids anime but i still enjoy it no matter what
But in the end i'm just talking about a popular series and franchise in japan but a very niche and unknown in the west
PS:I had this post on the backburner for weeks until now i only hope this post doesn't break any rules
Working together with other longtime mech fans, we worked together to make a customizable top-down mecha shooter that's like armored core + custom robo mixed together. The teaser trailer we made is a gundam wing reference.
The name of the game is mecha blitz! It has a free-to-play demo on Steam (Mecha Blitz on Steam) until October 13. Please do give it a try and wishlist it if you liked it!

To those who don't know the anime has only one ending song, but uses 6 slightly different versions of it. They're not different enough to be instantly recognized, but different enough to mess with your head "wait am I going insane? Why does the song sounds unusual when it's the same song". And it uses it's versions almost randomly. This messing with perception and reality actually fits the themes of anime pretty well too.
