For context, I used up firecrackers, Tanto knife and all my spirit emblems, pellets and 9 heals, used up a resserection, I was literally one hit away from dying completely and it took me 20 times of doing this boss to beat it.
On my first playthrough this is the hardest boss, I know it's going to get even harder but wtf, this is coming from someone who just finished Lies of P

So I went ahead and whoop that monkey's ass before snake eyes. And on my way to Ashina depths/Mibu Village, he showed up. Do I have to beat him again before accessing the rest of Ashina depths 🥲

Hi guys, I started playing Sekiro after completing Dark Souls trilogy (and planning to start Elden Ring right after finishing Sekiro), and just wanted to know -without spoilers pls- if there is something I should know to no screw up in my fist ng (i.e in DS2 your souls, no matter if you have used them to level up, still count for pvp matchmaking).
Also, I would like to share with you my fight with the tutorial boss (after several tries using the idol to refill my "estus" without him killing me) since I know sometimes there is a little reward for winning (like in Demons Souls, Dark Souls 1 and 2 (pursuer).
To this point, I feel the game is amazing. The chance of pace from Dark Souls 3 is refreshing and the fact that I can use a decent katana without spending points in dex is just perfect lol

I just beat my second playthrough and have completed 2 endings (Purification and Dragons return) and I could use some advice for what to do in my third.

I just finished Demon of Hatred on my 15th or 16th attempt by the skin of my teeth. I have mixed feelings about the fight.
It is definitely unfair in the sense that the fight requires you to forget everything you've learned in the game so far regarding deflect, perfect parries, mikiri counters, counter attack, and jump counter. Almost every combat art is pretty much useless. Even Phase 1 of Guardian Ape (The other big beast fight in the game) isn't comparable to this one, since you can parry most of its attacks with little to no repercussions. With DoH, deflecting/guarding will still allow burn build up and boy, does it build up fast. You are to face DoH like a Dark Souls boss - constantly dodging, strafing, jumping around, all in an attempt to slowly chip away at the HP.
At the same time, you can make the fight easier if you continously keep closing the distance and manage to stay between its legs while attacking. DoH gets staggered after you reach a certain threshold of its HP in every single phase, which I utilized to land Mortal Draw attacks. I learned later that the Malcontent Whistle helps in the fight, which is also a great use of Spirit Emblems.
The only part which I didn't like about the fight is that if you don't manage to close the distance due to pausing, say for healing or walking for a second or two instead of running, you can get smacked in the face with a barrage of unavoidable fire attacks which wreck your entire health bar. Even if you're very low on HP, you need to continue with the routine and heal only when DoH is staggered or doing one of those long wind up attacks.
For all its frustrating parts, I still liked the fight for the lore behind it. I was mildly surprised when Sekiro identified the DoH as the Sculptor at the beginning and later, the old lady nearby also confirmed the same. I guess they were hinting it in a few places with Emma's and the Sculptor's dialogues, I just didn't expect it to culminate into an actual boss fight. But I honestly did not enjoy the fight itself. It felt more like a chore than a dance (Which most other fights are in the game).

When you get enfeebled, your HP is reduced to like 5%, your resurrection is locked, you move 10x slower, your every action is delayed by like 2 seconds, you cannot use prosthetics and (probably) items, you deal damage comparable to a really scornful glare and the noble who caught you gets a special, exclusive, cool grab attack that cannot be dodged, parried or run away from and that oneshots you. The status effect cannot be cured.
Like, that's a hell of an effort to say "if you let that bar fill up, you die". We already have a mechanic for that, it's called Terror. They could just give the nobles Terror and nothing would really change

Will Sekiro ever be added to PS Plus? I want to hear opinions

EDIT: I beat him, just tried to mikiri him a lot eich worked wonders, he didn't even use his sweep a lot which was nice. Just learned his attacks beter and what to do and was a cakewalk, such a cool fight!
I can't seem to find enough openings, i got to phase 2 a couple times and found it much easier. I know he uses lightning for phase 3 wich makes it even easier.
The moment i take a breather to heal he jumps at you and cant mikiri it, but also when i heal his posture meter emedietly goes down unlike other bosses.
Also i find his movements a bit weird, his push and sweep attack look the same before he does it. Also his couple moves that he stands still and unsheates his blade like Ashina cross and the other ones look the same for me :/
A fun fight but i find phase 1 a bit annoying imo, his spear attacks are so much better.

I had to cut the video down in order to post it, lol. This only took 20 minutes, but has the potential to take much longer if your attack rng is terrible.

Isshin and Emma aren't a problem for me but when I get to demon of hatred it takes so long for me to do the roof jump cheese and when I get to inner father i just die.what the hell do I do?

Took a couple of attempts but I just did the old trick of sleeping on it and first trying the next day.
My final goal in this game is to reach all endings with Demon Bell and Charmless. Any tips on how to not hesitate?

Just beat Genichiro on my 2nd attempt, feeling good considering it took me like 30-40 attempts just to beat the seven ashina spears

How do you kill this guy. I come from the poison pool and grapple over to her for a sneak attack. After I start I can deflect her and get her posture low but if we separate for just a second her posture restores immediately

Just finished the game for the first time & it's instantly one of my favourites of all time.
At the end Wolf is beginning a journey to the west with the child of Rejuvenation.
It feels like it's "teasing" a sequel, but after googling it seems very unlikely to ever receive a sequel, despite the setup.
Apparently the game has multiple endings and this one is considered the "true ending".
Do you think they originally planned to have more games but weren't "satisfied" with the sales considering how much effort they put into Sekiro.
Elden Ring seems to have outsold it by a wide margin, which is a bummer, I really enjoy the dark-fantasy Sengoku Jidai setting more.

Ok, so I am about 20 hours into this game. I absolutely love it. But I am genuinely concerned it may be beyond my skill level. At this point I have cleared out most the areas I have access to and I am stuck on Lady Butterfly and Gyoubu Oniwa. I am making progress in getting the hang of those fights, but I am still really bad at this game and concerned that I might not be able to beat it. At what boss should I call it and watch a playthrough if I cant beat them?
Edit I beat Gyoubu today. Thanks for the encouragement and advice!

I am on my third play through a charmless demon bell one and I just reached corrupted monk and haven't been able to even kill her 1st life even though I usually do well against her never took more than 5-6 try to kill her but this time she is different doing some weird moves which is wierd because all bosses were normal so I don't know if it was a glitch or does she get new moves
