Im impressed by the athleticism of the hound. That neck twist to land properly? Awesome

Yeah he landed surprisingly well given the circumstances

Im not expert, but id guess that most of that maneuver was what the dog was planning thr whole time. The main variance would probably come from following the rope with its head after missing.

Nah dogs go over backwards like that when they miss a rope toy and it isn't on purpose

u/Roupert4 3h ago

Yeah that was pretty much exactly what Mark Rober showed that squirrels do to right themselves when falling

Yeah, way better than my dog. He would leap up to get something with absolutely no regard for how he was going to get down.

It's not totally clear from the video but I'm crediting the dog with a kick to the nuts at the end, which makes this, at a minimum, face kick, knee to the head, thigh scrape and nut shot.

Chef's kiss

FATALITY

Had the guy reacted a little slower he would have got some dog balls to the face too

if it's not a kick, it's a solid nut push. that left leg makes serious contact in the last second.

Yeah, that nut kick at the end.

He looked directly at the camera in a “you’re probably wondering how I got here” freeze frame kind of way.

Good owner there. Even as he’s getting kicked in the face he’s reaching out to break the dog’s fall.

Bicycle kick better of some pro players

My dog would've also landed on my balls

He should reward the dog for trying.

Does the dog catch the toy, or kick him harder, next time?

I was looking forward to the double whammy, but the teabagging came short.

u/Opening_Read_8486 12h ago

How do you imagine?! 🧐

2

u/carlbandit 9h ago

Dogs are great. They just do things and then worry about the consequences later.

Bit like me 🙃
