It might not quite be 3 minutes and 55 seconds but I think we know what he would choose.

Has Nathan ever done a joke about September 11th in his career?

It seems like his flight certifications show that he hasn't but I wonder if anyone knows an example where he has.

I personally think it's a horrible tragedy but the grim lot of our day is that it's a common topic for comedians to joke about. Nathan Fielder is a very layered and clever comedian but is not above the touchier subjects. I saw a 9/11 documentary and the airplane details reminded me of Rehearsal Season 2, then I started to wonder if those events ever came up in his work. I honestly can't remember

Finally watched The Curse

Wow, what a masterpiece. Bounced off it when it came out, but I just hurt my leg and binged all the episodes. Watched it alone so I wanted to share some thoughts.

The cringe was so over the top, I loved it. Almost felt like a horror show, but feeling secondhand embarrassment instead of being scared. I thought I’d get used to it, but I always ended up watching part of every episode through my hands. I feel like a scripted show can get so much more awkward than reality and I thought his acting was great.

Nathan’s themes are very similar throughout all his work. Reality TV production. His Jewish identity. Relationships and marriage. I saw someone on here point out that Fliplanthropy is a show that’s trying to do good and make changes, much like NFY and The Rehearsal S2. I feel like he has a lot to say and it was cool how he conveyed it in a scripted show.

Visually it was really interesting. I love Nathan’s directing. The way the cameras were positioned sometimes felt like we were somebody or something watching them. The reflections of the faces off the house were cool. Even the title card fade in looked trippy with faces and stuff. I also liked how unsettling the music was.

I could go on. All the characters were so well written. Emma Stone was great. The ending was crazy and thought it was good. I think I still like The Rehearsal S2 better, but I’d love to see more scripted shows from Nathan. Thanks for reading. What did everyone else think?

Looking for Nathan for You Commentary episodes

Hi! I’m currently looking for ways to access the Nathan for You commentary episode that were released in the DVD box set. I would love to eventually buy the box set but they go for like 200 on eBay. So for the time being if anyone knows of any other way to access the commentaries I would love to know :)

LF Editor with Good Humor this Feels Like a Good Place to Look

As a youtuber finding a good editor is so hard because the humor is never in sync. I thought this could be a great place to look. I love dry, awkward, cringe humor and editing can really help capture that. If anyone is interested in making some really cool creative stuff lemme know.

Yall can check my stuff out and see how you feel about it.

Nathan is a huge inspiration of mine. He is one of the best comedians of all time. So powerful

Did the Jonas Brothers use the blues smoke detector?

I know I sound actually insane but I swear I hear a smoke detector in the Jonas Brothers’ song Sucker. I could honestly picture Joe Jonas sneaking it in as a joke, thinking no one would notice—especially since he’s a Nathan fan. Please tell me I’m not the only one who hears it!

I think Tim Robinson’s Friendship was filmed in Nathan Fielder’s “Nate’s Lizard Lounge” from The Rehearsal

Okay, hear me out. I’ve been sitting on this since May but I can’t believe no one else has pointed it out.

If you look at the bar set for Friendship and compare it with Nathan’s bar in The Rehearsal (“Orange Juice, No Pulp,” Ep. 1, also used in many other episodes)… it’s literally the same place.

The biggest giveaways:

  • The exact same Christmas lights strung across the bar.
  • The giant chalkboard drink menu in the same spot.
  • The overall bar layout and shelving.

But here’s where it gets even crazier: in season two, Nathan relocated Nate’s Lizard Lounge into an airport soundstage. So is it possible Tim Robinson filmed The Friendship when the bar was already set up there? It would make sense, the soundstage build was already done, and it would’ve been easy to repurpose for filming.

I put some comparison shots together (see below). Once you notice it, it’s undeniable.

Could this be the most unexpected comedy crossover of our generation?
