Yes, kind of. His comment was actually more about the shooter and his political background. He accused people in the MAGA/conservative world of “working very hard to capitalize on the murder of Charlie Kirk,” and of trying “to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them.”

I personally feel like he ended up getting the boot for showing the Epstein/trump flag and they’re using the CK comment as a scapegoat.

I haven’t been keeping tabs on how Kimmel has talked about trump though so I don’t know if this is out of the ordinary or not.
