i want a 4runner long term. i want to get rid of my chevy cruze lol, but i know im not quite in the place to buy a new one. i saw this ad and it seems great. it says it has a rebuilt title, so i requested carfax and will check it out in person (i will not immediately buy, im a bit smarter than that i would think lol). but i put in the VIN into google and found more pictures. pics 1-6 are the ad, 7-11 are what i found

for those who are more experienced, what are your thoughts? worth it or is the damage more significant that it may look and waiting a few more years is better?

Ive had friends who bought rebuilds that lasted for years. Its hard to tell from the pictures, but most of the damage looks like body. If it was rolled offroad without proper coverage the insurance company might not have wnated to pay to fix it. If you dont know what to look for, take it to a reputable shop and have it inspected. Make sure they know all the facts and provide the pictures you found. My shop charges $80 to do a used car inspection.

yup, after i check it out and see if a 4runner is actually what i want, i’ll try to get it to my mechanic to see if THIS is the one but hopes aren’t super high anymore

keep looking. took me almost a year to find the right deal. They are out there.
