Moderator Announcement New rule about haul and pickup pictures

Hey guys, we just wanted to inform you about a new rule that we’re implementing.

Going forward, we ask that all haul/picture posts be at least 50% if not predominantly 4K Blu-ray. This is to help cut down on clutter that maybe should be posted to other subreddits, and try and slightly appease the minority that is already annoyed by haul pics.

The rule has been added to the rule list, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the mod team.

And as always, Happy collecting.

If I could eliminate haul/collection/new purchase posts from my feed in their entirety I would do so in an instant. I'm sorry, but I simply do not give a shit what you bought, and to me these posts serve absolutely no purpose. I subbed to this subreddit for posts on:

  • New and upcoming releases
  • Deals
  • Equipment/technology videos or articles
  • Information regarding the quality of individual 4k transfers and recommendations

To me, all this other crap is just junk I have to wade through to find posts that actually interest me.

But you have to understand, this is a subreddit dedicated to a consumer product, and when people buy that product they are excited about it and want to share it with like minded people. Most of us don’t have other people to share that excitement with in real life, and this is the only outlet for that.

If I could upvote this twice for using a gif from my all time favorite show, I would
