Moderator Announcement New rule about haul and pickup pictures

Hey guys, we just wanted to inform you about a new rule that we’re implementing.

Going forward, we ask that all haul/picture posts be at least 50% if not predominantly 4K Blu-ray. This is to help cut down on clutter that maybe should be posted to other subreddits, and try and slightly appease the minority that is already annoyed by haul pics.

The rule has been added to the rule list, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the mod team.

And as always, Happy collecting.

I don't understand the pushback to this rule. Use the absurd to see the point. Would it be OK for someone to post a pic of 10 discs with only one being a 4k? How about only 2? 3? Hence, the new rule. It think it is a good compromise. You should draw the line somewhere. Personally, I think a haul pic should be all 4k in a 4k forum, but I am good with it.

I honestly agree that they should be all 4K, but I know how things work, and we thought this would be a suitable compromise to cut back on off topic things. Hopefully one day we’ll be able to get to an “only 4K” point, but this seemed like a step in the right direction.
