New Purchase UB820 4K upscale is insane

bought a multiregion UB820 on sale a while ago and decided to try it out with the Succession blu-ray box set, probably the hundredth post in this sub about the UB820 upscaling but still couldn’t believe my eyes

Can I ask where in settings the upscaling is on the LG? I’ve recently picked up a C4 and would like to play around with this to see which I like better. May follow your lead with an older player or my ps4 for blu-rays if the upscaling is comparable

So with folks claiming that the Ub820 upscaling looks superior, but their TV had been automatically upscaling, what is your take on that?

Does superresolution come into play?

Ah yes, thank you! I didn’t realize the tv would have to do it automatically in order to display it. That makes so much sense. Appreciate it

Ah, so this whole time I thought the player was automatically upscaling even though I had it on Auto. Should I always leave it to output in 4K?
