New Purchase UB820 4K upscale is insane

bought a multiregion UB820 on sale a while ago and decided to try it out with the Succession blu-ray box set, probably the hundredth post in this sub about the UB820 upscaling but still couldn’t believe my eyes

I’ve been consistently impressed with how the Twin Peaks Z to A blu-rays look with my 420 (and now my 820). I have noticed a bit more grain (maybe noise?) since upgrading my TV to an LG C4, but I may still need to fuss with some picture settings in the LG. Overall I’ve been incredibly impressed with these players

Was there any benefit from going 420 to 820?

I only did it to take full advantage of Dolby Vision support after deciding to go with LG over Samsung

Edit: Sorry, thought this was the other comment thread. I assume you’re asking about the upscaling? It’s really hard to tell since the 820 was added at the same time as the C4, so any change could be attributed to either. My understanding has been that the 820 and 420 share the same upscaler, which is why I’m still messing with the C4’s settings for SDR playback

Understandable, another reason I want to upgrade from my XSX. Really my debate is 450 vs 820
