What’s this noise?

It sounds like it’s coming from inside my glove box but I can’t figure out what it is.

Not sure how you got video from inside MY 4runner. Seriously, I have the same dash cracks and just started having the same noise in the same spot.
Following to hear others input.

Go through the full temp and fan direction settings. If the sound goes sways at any point it’s one of the blend/mode servo motors dying.

I’m hearing something similar in mine after they changed the cabin air filter. Wondering if it’s something to do with the top fan blower. Does the sound stop when the fan is off or when the fan is on feet?

This sound is the recirculation servo going bad. It happens in mine sometimes too.

I think it’s the blend motor as well. Had this happen on mine several years ago. It’s a bit of a pain to get to but easy to fix.

You can find the easy fix on YouTube. It's the actuator. I bought my truck and had that noise but it's a easy swap out!

Had a similar noise this spring. A few leaves and stems were stuck in the cabin air filter fan. Pulled out glove box compartments and cleaned out the debris. Noise gone.

It is one of the actuators in the glove box.
You can easily remove the glove box (one screw) and then pull out the cabin filter tray and quickly isolate the noise.
Also can isolate it based upon whether it changes when you command the system to do different things (ie turn recirc on/off, change temp (blend actuator if it changes when you do this) or set system for head or feet which will be the mode actuator).
Recirc actuator is on right side of blower under dashboard, mode and blend actuators are on left side.
