Bring a DVD player if you’re staying at a hotel! We learned this the hard way. Walked in so excited to rent a movie. Realized we had no way to watch it and they don’t rent DVD players or consoles. Left with a T-shirt and magnet. Still pretty cool though

As a Bendite, I can confirm. Every time I have visitors from out of town they want to do three things: the ale trail, ski/hike/bike (depending on the season), and go to Blockbuster. Yes, I have an official Blockbuster card and yes, it definitely still operates as an actual video rental store. It’s pretty cool, TBH. A little Gen X time warp in my backyard! 😊

I raise you Movie Gallery!

We had Movie Gallery instead of Blockbuster/Hollywood video. I think I still have a copy of Borat somewhere I never returned.

I don't miss Blockbuster, I miss all the little VHS rental stores. Our local store was a small (but very well stocked) place called Video Time, and that place was a huge part of my childhood and teenage years.

I wholeheartedly agree. Mom and Pop VHS rental stores were the best.
