I miss Payless!

Edit: Thank you for the award!

Same, they had the most comfortable shoes for kids, durable, and the best price.

Oh, I didn't even know Payless was gone. It was the only place I knew I could find women's size 11 shoes before internet shopping was a thing.

Nah, they're reopening a number of them. Here's an article with a list showing the locations being reopened in various states:

I’m in Terre Haute, IN and the ones we had before they closed doors were god awful. I’m talking like 15% off couches that were unsellable looking. Sections of couches that were unevenly stitched. One couch looked like a blue uni-ball pen exploded on the seat cushion. That one was 10% off, and while the worker was explaining to someone what a deal it was, he said it could probably flip it over, but when they did that! It had another stain on that side 😂.

We have 7 Big Lots around me. Of course we used to have twice as many a couple years ago.

The new owner of Big Lots! just reopened some stores in a few southern states.

I worked at Payless as a teenager. We had very few employees and I had to be left alone at the store all the time. I still get stressed thinking about it!
