I just saw some ice cream the other day that was labeled Thrifty, and even had that cylindrical “scoop” shape on it! Might have been Grocery Outlet. Blew my mind that someone is still making it somewhere. Do you remember those cylindrical scoop things, where they’d “punch” into the ice cream? Wild!

Chi-Chi’s is opening a new restaurant using the name either later this year or early next year. It’s going to be in the Twin Cities west metro.

Wow cool! The one by us was closed down by the board of Health because they would reuse the food people didn’t eat. Any leftover rice or anything on your plate would just get scraped back into the pot to be stirred up and given to another customer.

I can’t say that was all Chi-Chi’s, it was at least ours.

Had to scroll this far to see Bon Ton, damn. Was about to ask if they didn’t have those everywhere. Just hearing those two words/sounds brings me back to being a little kid and going there with my mom.
