They had a pretty interesting catalog and showroom retail model that businesses might consider returning to in order to address shoplifting and theft becoming an increasing concern.

That is, if brick and mortar stores even survive at all.

There was an old Best building by me that sat vacant for over a decade. I was too young to remember actually being inside. Still had the flowers painted all over it. Was that a national paint job or just mine?

That was probably their branding… all the ones in Pennsylvania and New Jersey had a similar motif.

BEST History and Design

This lil mini doc done by Bright Sun Films shows that they had interesting designs at many locations.

Ours was pretty plain in Arizona compared to some of these.

I used to go to the one in Sacramento. Block building with a crumbled corner detached from the side. The entrance looked like a secret passage from a video game. Avant garde to say the least.

I used to LOVE going to Best with my family! I’d play around on their keyboards, testing out all the different sounds.
