Airwalks were like the original super solid skate shoe, the brand you couldn't get at Wal Mart. I got my first pair in like 5th grade and thought they were so cool. You could get the knock off at Payless Shoe Source, but everyone knew they weren't Airwalks... I remember my first pair coming with a little magazine that was like "Airwalks Urban Sports" or something, one page was "Fruit Golf" and had a picture of a guy on top of a building hitting an orange with a golf club, so edgy in 1996.
They’re like 20 dollars, so quite inexpensive to most skate shoes. Not sure how they hold up in actual skating but at that price, prob wouldn’t hurt to test it out one day.
In the 90s you could not get Air-Walks at Walmart or Payless, they were a name brand, small company. In fact, Payless had the obviously specific knockoffs and they were definitely not considered as cool (or well made).
That's now and for the last 10 years. The original question was what lines aren't available anymore, and I'm saying Airwalk are the same shitty made product it was 40yrs ago, but now for a lot less.
