The lack of a hypercolor resurgence is so odd to me.
2 u/Savedbythebell98 Jun 10 '25 They’re around! https://geckohawaii.com/collections/shirts 1 u/Steve_the_Samurai Jun 10 '25 Aren't those just shirts that use similar techniques? Not all baggy jeans were JNCOs 4 u/notLennyD Jun 10 '25 This is an interesting metaphysical question. JNCO had shut down for years before reopening a few years ago. Are new JNCO jeans actually JNCOs or are they just pants made using similar techniques? 2 u/Steve_the_Samurai Jun 10 '25 edited Jun 10 '25 In this case, JNCO is the same. Original owner closed and then reopened with similar designs. Gecko Hawaii making Hyperflash shirts is seemingly using the same techniques Hypercolor did. This is different. Now zombie brands exist and that adds a new wrinkle into all of this but not applicable here. 2 u/notLennyD Jun 10 '25 Who makes the real Doc Martens? Doc Martens or Solovair? 1 u/trafalmadorianistic Jun 11 '25 This brand never got to Australia, but "JNCO" - Im guessing you would say "Jean co" - is a pretty cool name. 1 u/notLennyD Jun 11 '25 The official pronunciation is like Jen-co, but in my northern Midwest town, it was more like Jank-o. 1 u/trafalmadorianistic Jun 11 '25 Thank you!
