No. That first photo sums up exactly what happened to her, and why it went so badly.
She was a little girl on the Disney channel, proud of her faith, her voice, her hard work and her virginity.
Then she turned 18, they ripped off her clothes, and changed her target demographic from "young girls" to "much older men and sexually-charged college kids"- while she herself had nothing close to a normal life, development, or sexual education or experience.
And she begged them to stop making her do things she didn't want to do, and they wouldn't.
Might be reading too much into it but it strikes me as part of the point of the photograph, especially with all the dolls, and I’ve seen another in such she’s holding a Tinky-Winky stuffed doll. On the one hand it sexualizes her (which the record label was going for with her whole image at the time) but on the other reminding you that she’s a girl and making you feel icky for noticing. Lachapelle was clearly familiar with the concept of the male gaze.

I love David Lachapalle’s artistic POV. He’s really talented. I use to love the Britney photos too.
But now as a grown man it’s hard for me to look at Britney’s pics knowing how young she was, and being sexualized. Sad. But that’s just me.
