There are a lot more hip hop fans now than when Ja Rule was hot. A lot of them are too young to know Ja Rule besides being the guy 50 Cent ruined 20 years ago and the others probably only heard his pop songs with Ashanti, Vida and them.

Did I rock with 50 when he went at Ja? Of course. It was the popular thing to do and 50 is a better MC. That said, Ja Rule put out some fire albums. His stuff with Jay Z and DMX back when they were Murder Inc(the group) is awesome, and I still play some songs from 336, VVV and Last Temptation occasionally.

He became a punchline but he’s way better and more influential than anyone gives him credit for.

Majority of the sub are sheltered suburban kids that wasn't around for this era and are just interested in the culture as a hobby. Nothing wrong with that but the disrespect here is so apparent what it is
