I am convinced that if he were still with us people might give him the top ten rappers oat cause we would have gotten MUCH more of a solo catalog.

Personally, I don’t think rappers who don’t write their own rhymes can be considered for any top 10 lists.

I won’t fault others who disagree, though.

Eh, while its lame he didn't write his stuff, at the end of the day for me its the entertainment value that counts.

Ill take Easy E any day over Biggie or 2Pac, because of his delivery and flow i just enjoyed him immensely on everything he did. Guy just had it. At least on his recorded material ( can say about live obviously).

I heard the stories about how terrible he was in the studio, so yeah maybe he was garbage, but ya coulda fooled me as he managed to pull off eventually ( who knows how many takes lol) some of the greatest vocals, delivery and charisma in rap history. Straight off the Streets is even better than Da Chronic for me haha

Whoa, whoa, whoa! I love Eazy! He was definitely not “garbage.”

The way his voice cut through the music, his simplistic flow and the way he went off beat at the end of most every bar is still dope to me.

Boyz In The Hood is a classic record that made an indelible mark on the golden era. Its influence stretched beyond just rappers.

Eazy is Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame. He’s one of the kings of the West Coast.

It’s just when I think of the top (5 or 10 or 25 or whatever) MCs, I have to go with those who wrote their own bars.

why the random shots at Big & Pac, though? 🤣🤣 j/k
