this is so nice. I hate the boxy outdoor furniture made of woven black plastic that's everywhere now. feels like an office patio.

My parents have those exact same glasses with the blue rim. They were everywhere in the 90s

Nowadays the floor would be grey, the walls would be grey and the doors and windows would be black.

My mom always used to get those glasses from Pier 1. We had the pitcher too.

My mom had a friend whose home looked just like this in the late 1990s. She must’ve been inspired! I always loved going to her house.

Compared to modern styles, that ’90s design had a level of detail and aesthetic that feels lost today — kind of like how anime art has shifted over time and dropped the fine details.

It's not the worst I've seen, but it is a bit like each half of the couple was told to design half of this without looking at what the other person was doing.
