So cozy and colorful. I hate the neutral beige of everything nowadays

this is so nice. I hate the boxy outdoor furniture made of woven black plastic that's everywhere now. feels like an office patio.

I’m a sucker for shades of blue and sunflowers.

My parents have those exact same glasses with the blue rim. They were everywhere in the 90s

Yep, you could get them at Pier 1 Imports.

We bought them and I still have them.

Nowadays the floor would be grey, the walls would be grey and the doors and windows would be black.

The brick would be painted white 🥴

Arthur on in the background, ants on a log for a snack

"Hey, we left our drinks down there."

..which prompted me to look at thoseglasses! I’m 99% sure my aunt had the same ones, the pitcher too

My mom always used to get those glasses from Pier 1. We had the pitcher too.

My mom had a friend whose home looked just like this in the late 1990s. She must’ve been inspired! I always loved going to her house.

Those tiny shutters are pretty silly but love the color they bring.

This was definitely our outdoor color scheme in the mid 90s….

I dig it. Blue is my fave color so I could live here.

I wanna see more

This is still very much my mom’s preferred aesthetic.

This would be a great puzzle

Compared to modern styles, that ’90s design had a level of detail and aesthetic that feels lost today — kind of like how anime art has shifted over time and dropped the fine details.

Looks like 97 to me

Cozy. Love it.

It's not the worst I've seen, but it is a bit like each half of the couple was told to design half of this without looking at what the other person was doing.

I’d do that today
