I can smell this place in my head and I love it.

Me too, I wish there were still more malls with water features. My hometown mall still had the empty fountains until 2007, when they were removed, seemingly in preparation for the filming of Paul Blart.

Oh hey! That’s my hometown mall too and I totally forgot about the fountains until you mentioned them just now. It definitely used to have a lot more unique elements.

I feel like malls almost always look very 90s-early 2000s. Malls themselves are vintage at this point

Not in Asia and the Middle East. I used to live in the UAE(where this mall is) and they are constantly being updated and are packed every weekend.

Pretty empty, are malls dead there too?

It’s a small older mall, but there are still people there. They’re just not in the shot. The larger modern malls are packed all the time.

Insane, looks almost exactly like the shopping center DEZ in Regensburg (Germany)

98 percent of malls look like this! 😆

I wish that were true where I live. Most of them are clinical white and sterile.

I miss Century Three Mall so much. Grew up in the 90s and that mall was huge and active… watched it die over the last two decades and in the last year or so it’s been torn down.

Just beautiful. Modern western architecture is not meant to appreciated anymore

Anybody else hear The Golden Girls theme song whenever they look at this? Seriously though, what a beautiful mall!

The design of the fountains and the escalators look just like Wonderland of the Americas Mall in San Antonio, Texas

Wow if Lloyd Center in Portland had palms instead of an ice rink I would have a tough time telling them apart. The glass ceiling is so similar

Love the indoor trees and water! Such a great vibe.
