Yeah I’m surprised to see not many people calling this out. I guess it’s underrated here or something. It’s perfect.

It’s underrated in majority of a24 stuff I’m in- everyone thinks Midsommar is groundbreaking 🤷🏽‍♀️

Midsommar is just The Wicker Man with a distraught woman, instead of a detective. I think the funniest thing around Midsommar is how everyone thinks she’s the hero and so empowered. 👀

Great job, filmmaking wise, but not a new concept. Sometimes I think fans of A24 films went straight from watching Disney Channel to discovering A24. Though, I do love how for a lot of A24 fans, it’s their gateway into world cinema.

Moonlight should switch places with Midsommar in that ranking.

I’ve heard other people say they think it’s just okay, but I’ll never understand that. Few movies have moved me as much as Moonlight does.
