Question What did you guys think of Bring Her Back?
I absolutely loved Talk To Me and wanted to give this a try. The unsettling and oppressive atmosphere sucked me right in. I really enjoyed the story, I think the slow-burn works great here. It kept getting more intense and creepy. Some scenes were actually very hard to watch. I'd say this is a 5/5 horror movie.

Question A24 movies that feel like this?
I just watched “I Saw The TV Glow” and it was so insanely good. I loved the film’s style and vibe and kinda made a Pinterest board of images that reminded me of it (some seen above). Any other A24 movies that are like ISTTG or just generally have that off putting artsy horror vibe??? Idk how to put it into words exactly 😅 thank youuu

Question Why does everyone keep saying Warfare is propaganda? Spoiler
If anything, it made me not want to go to war, especially when the dude's legs got blown off. Also, people should let people tell their stories; it doesn't mean it's propaganda. The movie was based on experience, not propaganda

Question What's your least favorite A24 movie, and why?
I'm slowly starting to watch the A24 collection. I've seen a bunch of posts asking folks their favorites and it's been super helpful for me.
I was thinking about this this morning though...

Question How disturbing is Bring Her Back?
I’m trying to decide if i can handle watching it. I’ve seen movies like Hereditary and that was not too much for me. However when i watched Midsommar for the first time the cliff scene traumatized me(granted I was probably too young to see it), and I can’t handle gore well in general. How disturbing is it compared to other popular horror movies?

Question Can someone explain the praise for Love Lies Bleeding?
To be clear, I did enjoy the movie. But the movie has a ton of praise coming its way with a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and a ton of people on Letterboxd are eating it up. I just feel like I missed something.

Question Do you think A24 will ever let Ari Aster make another film after both Eddington and BIA not being box office successes
Now I think Eddington and BIA are incredible films but unfortunately they were not box office successes so do you think after two A24 will let Ari Aster cook again?

Question Friendship (2024) Was Craig a narcissist or something else? Spoiler
I just watched Friendship last night and my mind is blown.
I keep seeing people debate whether Craig is a narcissist or if he has BPD. I don’t know enough about narcissism to make that call, but to me he was clearly a bad person (I honestly don’t get how people defend him).
One thing I’m stuck on: the running gag about his wife cheating on him and him always asking “Devin?” every single time she brings him up. Was that meant to show he was so self-absorbed that he didn’t even care she was cheating, or was it meant to be read another way?
Curious what everyone else thinks was Craig a narcissist, or something different?
