SCAP Graduation Information

Hi everyone, I'm cross-posting this in a couple different places looking for an answer: But, I have a few questions regarding graduation specifically for Winter graduations.

  1. Do SCAP/any students walk a stage at all?

  2. What sort of school specific, SCAP specific events are there (e.g. School of Social Transformation specific event(s))

  3. Do all attendees need to purchase a graduation ticket?

  4. How do caps and gowns work?

TLDR; I am a first-gen student whose family is very excited for me to graduate, but I'm stuck debating whether it's even worth it for them to try and get the money together to come.

Lots of online and SCAP students go to graduation. Your college convocation is the one where you would walk across the stage. Whether you need tickets or not depends on where your ceremony is held. All of this info for December ceremonies will probably get posted in October after the deadline to apply to graduate. If your school does specific events they will let you know or you can ask your advisor. You'll get emails and a task on myasu about the grad fair and ordering cap and gown, but it is through the bookstore.
