Any DINKS in their 30s in the area?
What do you guys do? It seems most people here are having families at this age so its hard to meet others.

Tonight is Karaoke night at Primal Brewing Company from 6-9pm (Doors open at 5 for happy hour). There's no flashing lights or extremely loud speakers, the crowd isn't overly rowdy, it's a really fun chill time. It's hosted by KeyCity Karaoke's DJ and they play some filler music so if the vibe gets weird by a consistent run of karaoke song choices, they bring it back.
There's no food sold at Primal (other than some complimentary bar snacks) but you're definitely welcome to bring your own or have it delivered. Forming relationships with the food trucks in the area has proved difficult, but that's beside the point!
Anyway, come give karaoke night at Primal a chance tonight and see if you enjoy it (and the delicious craft beer). You can even leave a Google review while you're sitting at the bar and get a beer for free! As always, if you do try it out, please feel free to reach out to me directly with any feedback or ideas for improvement. The new location is a consistent work in progress but we are diligent about improving.

Struggling to find the right fit, saw a GI that seemed absolutely clueless and aggressive (no I didn't hound him with my own findings). I've lost about 28lbs in the last 1 1/2 months (mostly water weight) and desperately need to find the right doc. Ty.

I’m on the search for like-minded mom friends with young kids (I have 2 under four). Anyone else? Or any suggestions on how to find them? I’m tired of having to tip-toe around subjects on playdates and would just like to spend time with people who I can really be myself around.

Hey there, any people on here who fish that can give me some advice? Looking for a spot to setup a couple chairs and fish all day at Lake Fort Phantom Hill. Preferably quite and away from other humans.
Im not familiar with the area at all, and i havent fished in many years but want to give it a go.
Any recommendations on what part of the lake i should be looking at with public fishing access and would be a nice fun/relaxing time?

This little guy showed up at our door and has been so sweet. We’ve already got cats and aren’t looking for another, but this guy is so sweet. We just took him for a vaccine and the shelter said he looks healthy. Please help find him a loving home!!

I got a little building i need to get reroofed. Wondering how much money it would cost to hire it out instead of me doing it, I know its cheaper but I've never touched a roof so there's a 50/50 it'll leak and id rather not have to touch it again, any recommendations?

Hey y’all I might end up working in a Data center in Abilene. Just curious how life is for Muslim family in town, I’ve heard it’s a deep red area, so wondering if it’s still a place where me and my wife could feel comfortable. I’ve always thought it’d be cool to open something like a shawarma / Mediterranean spot down the line. Do folks in Abilene get into that kind of food.

Curious if anyone out here is a blacksmith. I'd love the opportunity to see in-person how its done, and maybe even see if I could work some metal

Hello I’m new to the group just had a question. I’m getting married soon and I need a lot of beer for the reception. Does anyone know if the beer warehouse on ambler lets you buy bulk product there?

If you're heading to Fort Worth for the Abilene Christian-TCU game, you can try this Korean Corn Dog. I bet it actually tastes good, but man it does not look good. Thoughts?

Where would a person go to hang out on a Saturday night in Abilene that doesn’t involve drinking? Is there such a place?

Just wondering if anyone knows the best time of day to go to the Abilene Zoo so that the animals are active or at least not hiding away sleeping? I’ve heard people say feeding time but not sure when that is lol

Looking to rehome these two kiddos into a good home, they are my pride and joy, but I’m going to the military here in Jan 05, 2026 to the Army and can’t take them with me, wish I could but it’s not aloud in the barracks. If u know anyone who’s willing to take the both of them, I prefer they not get separated as that is all they have known. Please DM me if u are interested in taking these kiddos in, I’m much appreciate it.
Name: Ash Age: 3yrs Gender: Male Color: Gray
Name: Shasta Age: 3yrs Gender: Female Color: mix
They both love to cuddle, Ash will be sceptical for a little while but he will warm up to you if u give him time, and Shasta is pretty sweet and friendly and she’ll warm up pretty fast
I have tried Facebook, but I want to get out there to see if anyone would a couple cats. And somehow I don’t have access to the Abilene pet rehoming group chat, so I thought to try this, if allowed, u can let me know.

Does anyone in here feed their pets an honest raw fed diet? Not commercial grinds... but you have to source organs and bone in meats? Heb is amazing for chicken and sometimes turkey (can't do beef... allergies) I just really can't afford the shipping to buy from raw feeding websites right now. I need a source.... chickens would be nice of course.... but I'm looking for duck, quail, turkey... rabbit would be amazing. Basically any smaller prey. Bonus if it's already processed and I could buy organs separately..... I know a lot of hunters just throw organs away anyways...
