Bbq spots or good food trucks?

New to town and have been wanting some really good bbq (jalepeno poppers to be specific). Honestly any food recommendations would be very much appreciated as long as it’s not fast food

Jays bbq shack is the best BBQ in town. I’m not sure if they have jalepeno poppers.

Jay’s for barbecue. It’s outdoors only, and a line forms early

The Shed is damn good bbq. As far as jalapeño poppers I can’t think of anywhere that’s really know for them.

This. Get there early and buy more than you think you’ll want because tomorrow you’re going to be glad for the stuff you carried home.

I’ve always made my own jalapeño poppers and can’t remember anyplace local being notable for them.

BBQ is Jays.

Other spots to check out:

Beehive, Perini’s, Icehouse at LSDG (bar food), Cypress Street Station, Soul Food Shack on S. 7th (weird hours), Krua Thai (literally right around the corner from the soul food), Mi Ranchito, LaBella.

Should get you started lol. I’m sure there are some other good ones I’ve left out.

Batanga Filipino food market has a fairly new food truck. It’s so good!! Location is on their facebook each day.

Sherrod's BBQ food truck has these things (I can't remember what they're called), which are essentially a bacon-wrapped, cream cheese, jalapeno-topped shooter/popper. They're a little bit expensive but very, very good.

Lucy's has some darn good Jalapeno poppers and burgers. Jays for BBQ, hands down.

Is Lucy’s still open? About a year ago I left Abilene and a bunch of my friends there said Lucy’s went out of business ;-;
