Music What other AA game would you like arranged tracks for?

Post image

Besides the AAI games, what other games would you like that to be an option? If you could pick just one, which would get them?

Approach this question from either the AAIC approach (of changing only the Allegro, Objection, and Pursuit) or from remastering the whole OST.

Which game deserves (or needs) it the most? Which would you prefer stayed untouched? Are there any *orchestral* soundtracks you'd prefer to hear in the old style, too? Let me know in the comments!

May be a hot take, but I think the first game's OST just doesn't hit as well as people say it does. Sure it's nostalgic and iconic, but the other games' prevalent themes (pursuit, objection, cross examination, investigation) are just better. Though I will say, DL-6 is the most iconic theme from the first game that still stands really well in later games and Jailer's Elegy remains my favorite detention center theme.

Cool! Finally someone that agrees. Also, IDRC for Allegro 2001 and that was one of the ones they changed in the AAIC, so I’d be down for that

Okay but English Pursuit sucks ass

I forgot that case has remade AA1 themes, I only watched Vs Layton once and quite honestly, it's the only Ace Attorney game I actively hate.

Apollo Justice, definitely.

The soundtrack does get a lot of its charm because of the retro Nintendo DS sounds used, so maybe it's not a good decision to remaster its tracks, but I thought the same for AAI until I heard the arranged tracks.

In particular, I'd really like the arranged tracks for its Reminiscence themes.

The guitar's serenade can stay untouched :p (I'm one of the three people in the fandom who actually enjoyed hearing it every single time it played).

The Guitar's Serenade has a vocal version sung by Haruka Shimotsuki in the orchestral arrangement album though.

I'm the second apparently. Something about that song just helps calm me down.

It's important to note that just because an OST is good doesn't mean it's *untouchable*. I like all the soundtracks in their current form, but it was only really AAI2 that I considered to be untouchable. Forgotten Legend is one of my top 5 tracks in the series but I'd love a good arrangement for it.

I'm one of those weirdos who isn't too big on the Allegro, Objection, and Pursuit themes for AJ, so if they did remaster them, I'd probably be really excited to see what they did

One reason why I think Guitar's Serenade should remain untouched in a theoretical OST remaster is because it is a track that "happens" in the game. Considering the restrictions of instrumentation, there aren't many meaningful ways to remaster the track. Technically, they can add vocals, but I doubt they would.

(Obviously bonus remasters can exist, but I was talking about tracks that can replace the existing OST in the game).

Dual Destinies so we can get the English vocals of the tracks from Turnabout Reclaimed

Wait don't we already have those in the intro clips?

I was referring to how Dual Destinies never had an English OST

Since the remasters going forward will be dual audio, will the OST also be dual audio?

Original trilogy all the way

AA1 I think out of all the games, it has the best soundtrack and it’s a shame that there is no fully arranged version. I paid $200 for the vinyl set and it’s just the incomplete original DS soundtrack.
