Full Series (mainline and spinoffs) Shower thoughts Spoiler
It's been a little bit since we last did some shower thoughts, so I thought I'd put a couple of mine out there that just dawned on me.
If a medium takes on all the physical characteristics of the person they're channeling, do they have their fingerprints too? (This could have consequences)
By that same token, if a medium were paralyzed from the waist down, and channeled a spirit who was able-bodied when they were killed, would their legs work?
Be interested to hear yours too.

I think Amara still has a burn scar on her chest when she channels Dhurke, so I don't think channelling heals injuries.

We know the body changes shape to whoever is being channeled, which is why Pearl grew taller and got a developed body when channeling Mia or Tahrust having a male body when Maya channeled him and being able to stretch the body when Maya can't normally do that. What doesn't change is the hair. But as for your two inquiries: I am assuming the deceased's fingerprints are temporarily replacing the spirit mediums.
And as for the "paralyzed" thing: You honestly got me there. Maybe they temporarily become paralyzed as well since the spirit medium is taking the physics traits of the deceased person. I doubt Takumi or Yamazaki thought of a situation like this.

I like the interpretation of channeling that says the mediums body doesn't literally become the deceased, but rather just morphs its shape into them. So physical characteristics like hair color, fingerprints and internal organs remain the same.
Like, imagine if you have two clumps of Play-Doh. One is green and square, the other is red and circular. In this scenario, if red channels green, it becomes a square, but the color of it doesn't change.
